Saw it on Twitter where it’s assumed the Uvalde shooter played this game. Not sure if it’s true or not, but regardless, how can anyone enjoy this game?

Trailer

I know a lot of people will try to compare it to GTA, or the like, but I don’t think GTA is at “intimate” as this game make makes killing out to be. It seems to be this whole game’s premise. I like GTA just as a much as the next person, but this doesn’t look fun.

Then there’s the one mission in MW2, but it’s not required to play or even participate in to move the story along.

How many of you enjoy games like this?

I like me some Twin Stick Shooters, but I remember this game getting shite on when it first came out for just not being very good.

Just like guns, video games also do not cause people to shoot other people in real life.

I agree, but what’s the point of this game? I’ve killed my fair share of hookers in GTA, but what kind of person does a game like this appeal to?

And for the record, I’m not advocating for anything. I know that I’m not in this developer’s demographic. I just don’t see how there is one for a game this brutal. I wouldn’t even think a game like Manhunt is this brutal.

“Gee, I can’t wait to get home from work and play a game where I actually hold the end of a pistol in a woman’s mouth and blow her brains out for hours on end.”

ETA: one might consider that a person may already be fricked in the head if they enjoy a game like this.

Definitely not a game I'd be interested in, that's for sure.

It apparently was a best seller on steam after release and holds a positive rating from gamers there according to Wikipedia, so I guess there's a market somewhere.

How can anyone enjoy hentai games or boyfriend/girlfriend simulators or turn-based RPGs? It's almost like people have different tastes when it comes to gaming.

Is a game like Hatred a niche genre? Sure, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's inconceivable that other people would.
