I know what you mean. I'm ready to see actual gameplay myself.

36 DAYS

Starting tomorrow, we're supposed to start getting new info for tMCC every single day. The IGN live stream starts at 11:00 a.m. central, and it's rumored we'll get that Warlock reveal.

I know. You the man. I will try to catch some of it. I don't really have work filters. But so many people have been getting me to do shite for them because they figured out I'm pretty good at what I do so i kinda get swamped now.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, giving a modern look to six of Halo 2's best maps while still retaining that classic Halo 2 feel. The sixth and final of those maps is "Warlock" (now called "Warlord" in its Anniversary iteration), joining "Ascension" ("Zenith"), "Coagulation" ("Bloodline"), "Sanctuary" ("Shrine"), and "Zanzibar" ("Stonetown").

Warlord walkthrough

quote:

Above, original Halo 2 lead multiplayer designer Max Hoberman – whose current studio, Certain Affinity, is handling the multiplayer portion of MCC – walks us through "Warlord"'s creation process, detailing the decision to remake a map that was already a remake of a Halo 1 map and showing off some of the subtle tweaks and improvements made to the new version.

After you watch that, check out the video below for some straight up raw 1080p/60fps gameplay on "Warlord," as Team 343 wipes the floor with Team IGN (Alfredo Diaz, Brian Albert, Sean Finnegan, and me). Don't worry, we get them back on some of the other maps you'll see later this month...

In a recent article with VentureBeat, 343 Industries talked about their favorite maps across the entire Halo franchise. However, towards the end of the article, a picture ofCoagulation now known as Bloodline in Halo 2 Anniversary was shown.

quote:

343 Industries have yet to reveal anything about Coagulation apart from the fact it will be included in Halo 2 Anniversary. For those who are unaware of what Coagulation is, it is a remake of the fan favorite map Blood Gulch from Halo: Combat Evolved.

quote:

Coagulation was previously revealed at RTX 2014 during a panel with 343 Industries and Certain Affinity and until today, we haven’t seen any news or footage from the updated version of the map. With IGN having exclusive coverage of Halo: The Master Chief Collection all month, hopefully it won’t be long before we start seeing gameplay from Bloodline.

I'm mot sure why, but seeing Warlock didn't do much for me. Still don't know how I feel about the added jumps.

None that I've seen. I figure once they finish covering H2A, we'll get into the other games a little more.

Not Halo MC related and not sure if it's been discussed before, but the lead actor from Halo Nightfall has said that he is the playable character in Halo 5: Guardians, not MC.

quote:

“Yes I am a playable character in Halo 5…you’re basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character.”

quote:

What’s not known is whether I’m friend or foe. The relationship between Master Chief and Jameson Locke is going to be interesting. Because, what’s the outcome? Is he dead or alive? Because that’s usually what a manhunt comes down to, dead or alive, but you won’t know what the purpose of finding master chief is right away. Or what will happen if we do find him, what condition he will be in, and where he’s at mentally. But I’m sure that’ll be a plot twist in Halo 5.”

I agree atm. I love the Halo campaign, and think it's cool as hell that both will be playable characters, but I'm ready to play that Halo 2 classic!

35 DAYS

IGN's content schedule (YouTube video)

quote:

IGN will be releasing Halo: The Master Chief Collection news all this month

On NeoGAF, IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey has detailed their schedule for releasing Halo news over the next few days, as part of this month’s IGN First. Gameplay of the final Halo 2: Anniversary map and a screenshot and name for Coagulation’s remake have already been released.

Once they’ve ‘poked around the whole damn thing’, IGN will be providing a full game preview tomorrow. This is preceded by a Halo Channel video Walkthrough on Wednesday and revealing the day one playlists on Thursday.

As the event only runs on weekdays, Friday will see the last news drop this week, which contains all The Master Chief Collection achievements, totaling that 4000 gamer score.

Plans for the rest of the month have yet to be revealed.

quote:

Coming up this week just to manage everyone's expectations:

Tomorrow: Full game preview after we poked around the whole damn thing
Wednesday: Halo Channel video walkthrough
Thursday: Revealing the Day 1 multiplayer hopper playlists
Friday: Revealing all 4000 Achievement points

Way, way more all month long. W00t!
