Back to sucking in ranked again. I’m just arse at this game. Or maybe it’s all the fricking children from Apex and shite now it’s F2P. I’m too old to be worth hot shite at this game.

Anyone know how ranked placements work? I am 1 win, 3 losses, 1 tie so far. One of my losses was because I immediately backed out of a game where my team had 2 D/Cers. So it would've been a 2v3 CTF - frick that.
I was queued with a buddy on the first 2 matches and we lost a Slayer 50-47.. he's supposedly Platinum 6. I then tied a CTF on that big map with the launch pads and went 28 kills 9 deaths. But one of my teammates that game said he was Silver 1.
How the hell will it place me? I seem to be dominating people but not necessarily getting the dubs.

I’m not sure if 343 has posted anything about it but it sure seems like this ranking system is more based on individual play over team wins and losses. If I have a good game and we win I go up. If we lose and I have a good game it normally barely goes down if any.

If you’re halfway decent, you should end up in at least Plat, if not Diamond 1.
I’d say 75% of my buddies ended up in diamond, with the rest platinum except for 1-2 gold and 1 silver (lol @ him)
I had an old account I was playing on with the said silver and gold bros and tried for the first five games to help them rank up then intentionally sucked arse the final five games (including one game I backed out of a 3v4) to try and get a low ranking to play with them and still ended up diamond. So there’s that

Fully convinced the sniper is the worst gun in the game solely due to the inability to aim the fricker even somewhat reliably. I’m not a good shot in H5 and H3 with it but I’m good enough to snipe someone in the open. Now I miss almost all 3 shots before getting a body shot with the 4th. I feel like the reticle is needle thin and there’s no bullet magnetism at all.

Finishing games with very high K/D… and when I’ve seen my accuracy it’s been minimum 40%. Had a game w 56% acc but can’t recall if ranked tells you that or not.

Sniper is amazing. On a ranked CTF on that big map with the launchers I picked it up on cooldown and held down our flag while the other 3 attacked. That was my 28 kill / 9 death match.

My big KD numbers have come from AR/Pistol combo. That and the mauler. It’s a two shot kill or a body shot and a melee.

I suppose it’s fun but skill wise, it takes a lot of getting used to if you played H5. It also still pisses me off they haven’t fixed enemy collision. I phase through the enemy so many damn times trying to melee, which throws your orientation off completely with both of you spinning around so whoever orients first gets the kill or some BS where the time it takes to orient, a teammate headshots you. Super frustrating. Some of the weapons handle differently.
Nade spam is at an all time high and o think they’re overpowered/too numerous.
Aiming really needs fixing. I’m all over the map with it. Anywhere from 25% to 55%.
Some power weapons honestly kinda suck and other weps just aren’t combat worthy and need fixing.
It looks real nice but I liked the H5 MP experience more and was significantly better.

I’ve been grinding fiesta trying to get the new armor. Some of the power weapons are very unique and work really well in some scenarios and really bad in some. I still think the BR is better than just about everything outside of sword and rockets.
Yeah the collision thing is frustrating. I’ve had many times I’ve ran into someone in a hallway. I melee first. They melee a spirit second after me and still get the first shot off to kill me. I’m don’t know how that is supposed to work like that. At least in H5 the person making contact first got first shot.

I’m getting a better handle on abilities now and doing better at least in fiesta. Grapple is awesome for repositioning and the repulsor great for sword and hammer Douches to push them back and unload at range.

I got some hilarious kills with the grapple shot, it's great to grapple people and kill them with the sword

The grapple challenges worried me. I thought was going to have to finish them with a grapple beat down but you don’t. You just have to hit them with the grapple 5 times. I’ll be honest, none of the weekly challenges are hard. It’s just a grind going in and out of BTB getting games types you need and the 1 map with the wasp to get a wasp kill with the chain gun.

I wonder how much winning matters vs. individual performance. Had a lot of frustrating placements where people did not play objectives.

Supposedly it’s how do you compared to how you are “supposed to do”. So if you are lowest rank in game you can suck and be fine.
