Halo 5 and Doom

Are either of these games fun/worth getting on Xbox one? Both are on sale for $25 and $20, respectively.

DOOM is good, but I'd be surprised if it wins GOTY.
I'd expect Overwatch or Uncharted 4 to take that home.

Yes and Yes. Halo's singleplayer wasn't great, but the multiplayer was the best since 3 imo.

Halo 5 is an okay game but its not a Halo game at all. Halo hasn't been great since Halo 2.

Well a ton of ppl are not Uncharted fans. You can find a lot of things ppl dislike about Uncharted over DOOM.
This year wasn't that strong. So up to this point it was the best, hopefully Dishonored 2 that's the title.

Please elaborate. I'm a huge fan of 1,2 and 3 while everything else is just enjoyable (ODST ehh). For what it's worth, I've gotten every halo game so far besides Halo wars.

Too much added BS that adds nothing to the game. Clamber is just an easy version of crouch jumping and jetback is just a watered down version of strafing. I've played every Halo game extensively and although Halo 5 is better than the abomination that was Halo 4 it just doesn't feel like Halo.

I hate Uncharted myself lol. I like the story but the gameplay sucks.

DOOM is the best pure gaming experience I've had in years. First time in years I've spent more than a handful of hours on a FPS.

beat it and was unbelievably happy with it (except for the last level or two, shite just got too game-y and they tried to stretch it out). May buy it for $20. insane deal
