I have to be at work at 8am. But I'm still getting it at midnight. I talked myself into getting it at midnight instead of when I get off of work on Tuesday.

welp, looks like i don't really have an option on going to the MidNight Launch.
I got there at 6:15PM after work and they said they weren't taking pre-orders anymore. I asked if I could pick up a copy in the morning, i have tomorrow off. Nope.
But he rang me up and said if I come tonight to the launch party, they'll have me a copy.
Oh well. Best have me a copy or that receipt is going up his arse.
Traded in Dead Island: RipTurd, Tiger Woods Golf 14, Black Ops II, and Far Cry 3.
$5.22 for GTAV.
I also signed up for the TigerDroppings Social Club. Member Count: 42.

Whoever didn't preorder and wants to try and get a copy during the day tomorrow try GameStop in Gonzales. When I called there today he said I could preorder or just come in tomorrow and get a copy. "Said" they had plenty, but who really knows. I know the days far cry 3 and arkham city were released I just went and picked them up no problem.

I can assure you guys that didn't pre order and want to pick it up tomorrow will have no problem. I worked video game retail for several years and have run midnight events before. Normally when a store reserves say 150 copies of a game in which there will be a midnight release, 190 copies arrive a week early as well as copies scheduled to arrive the following day after launch.
The only reason Gamestop pushes for the pre order is because employees are encouraged (and in some cases required) to get at least 2 pre orders a day as well as one power up subscription. (In Baton Rouge at least)
No major retailer is going to run out of this game.
You guys without a preorder are going to be just fine.

I'll have the glory of driving home from work tomorrow knowing the special edition game and guide will soon be in my hands. Yeah, I balled out, so what? Game of the Year only comes around once a year, gotta go big
