Time trials.

Just you on the track with your ghost after the first lap. It’s one of the options at the bottom of the screen.

Anyone else playing with any type of racing wheel setup? I've got the cheap Logitech wheel and pedals mounted to the Playseat racing seat. I'd mainly been using it for the F1 games on PC, but enjoy it so much more playing Turismo series games. I want to run this on PC so badly, but it still looks pretty damn good on an old PS4.

ETA: Saw the 4K OLED comment. Mine is on an LG 4K and that no doubt helps.

I’ve played all the GT games since PSX, and this is the most relaxing, calming racing game I ever played lol.

Man, I’m obsessed with this game right now. Playing offline is fantastic, but fair warning, online is completely borked at the moment. From what I’ve heard, there is a glitch to bypass certain criteria for online races. Daily Race A, today, has a max hrspr of 147. My last race, dude in first beat second place by like 53 seconds. He was like 3/4 of the track ahead of the rest of us when he finished. The game is brilliant, but they need to get online cleaned up.

Depends on what you want to spend. The Direct Drive Fanatec is probably the best system and they make great wheels so you can interchange a GT wheel with a formula type wheel. They have a huge array of wheels. I have a step down at home using the Thrustmaster T-GTII Servo Base with a GT wheel but plan to get the copy of the Ferrari SF1000 wheel when I get the 2022 F1 game.

On my rig at the camp I moved down to a belt drive Logitech G923 which I think is the best mid-range wheel/pedals you can get. I haven't kept up with the entry level wheels.

For some sim porn just look through the Fanatec steering wheel page:

For the ultimate in formula racing wheel systems the Fanatec direct drive Podium Racing Wheel F1:

Honestly been loving playing with the dulesense, controller was made for racing games with the triggers and rumble.

And yeah I have been loving this game, personally been playing it more than Elden Ring. So glad we have a great GT again.

The sticks actually work well for steering, I just need to get much smoother while cornering.

I saw a video of a guy explaining his turning technique as pushing the stick all the way up and then using a crescent movement to turn rather than just a straight left to right movement.

I feel like I did a piss poor job explaining that

That makes a lot of sense actually since you can use that resistance to meter the amount of turning.

Getting much better at turning using that method but thumb gets tired after a few laps.

Dislike the fact you can’t get money for selling duplicate cars.

I got an Amazon gift card and picked this up. Holy shite it's good. I was up until midnight playing and forced myself off.

I hadn't played a GT since ps2 and it gives me that old school vibe.

I'm total trash but it's fun as hell

It's not really a glitch, it's just that horsepower is the only limiter for the races and they have hybrid engines in the game. So you can technically meet the horsepower requirement but also have the electric power for 3ish laps on the straights before the battery runs dry. Pretty massive oversight by the dev team.

Y’all have any thoughts on the recent patch that increased the grind time for credits substantially? And it costs $38 for one Ferrari in the shop? Yikes

Apparently it’s being review combed on metacritic and the developer released a vague statement about players needing to realize the value of cars and view the game as a long-term proposition

I was about to buy it but frick that

Also in this update, some event rewards have been adjusted. I wanted to also explain the reasons for it and our plans going forward. In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions. At the same time the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices. I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again. We will in time let you know the update plans for additional content, additional race events and additional features that will constructively resolve this. It pains me that I can’t explain the details regarding this at this moment, but we plan on continuing to revise GT7 so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game. We would really appreciate it if everyone could watch over the growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a somewhat longer term point of view. Kazunori Yamauchi

i think it's being blown out of proportion personally. it's still an awesome game worth the price.

I’ll probably still get it because I haven’t played since GT3. Although the inability to sell cars (despite the product description) is annoying.

How many credits does it cost to fully upgrade a 3 million credit car?
