I haven't fully played through RDR2 yet (game says 36% done, so it's early) and I fully completed GoW so it's not a fair comparison yet.

AC Odyssey and Tomb Raider for me so far, not sure which yet and there are still some games I am interested in coming out.

I like odyssey way more than RDR2. It won’t get as much recognition because they have new AC every other year and people have been hyping up RDR in their heads for 8 years. Buts it’s the better game. RDR has some cool features that I hope other games implement but it is not game of the year for me. However, it will win

Red Dead Redemption 2 by far. It suits my play style.
Odyssey will probably be my 2 or 3. But it just feels Arcady in comparison

Agree that games like PUBG without a single player should be considered but multi player games don't have the depth and also shouldn't win.
PUBG changed everything. It should have a GOTY consideration.

It does because people tend to award multi-plats over exclusives.
IMO the game is amazing though, it's a hard decision between the two for me. We will see how RDR2 ends before I make my final vote but GoW was an amazing journey and the re-imaging of Kratos was a bold move that paid off bigly.

Why shouldn't it? Games like fortnite, black ops, league, wow, destiny, and pubg consistently get more views on twitch than any single player.
GoW and RDR are nice and all but don't change the way people look at video games. Drake freaking got on fortnite and got its popularity up to previously unknown levels. Professional baseball players are streaming fortnite on twitch.
Please tell me what single player can do that?
