There is one specific version that can't play burned games but I want to say its the rarest version. Have to be careful though because burned games put wear and tear on the gd-rom. You can get a clone gdemu for pretty cheap off of ali express. You can put every dreamcast game on an sd card and place in one of those. I've yet to install the one that I got but they are pretty easy. No soldering required.
Aside from that, if someone wants to play legit games then two that I would suggest are Silver (action rpg) and Armada (top down space shooter rpg).
