Love open world games but lately I've been getting burnt out on them. They are starting to feel more like work to me. I'm in the mood to play a game that takes the lead and I can just enjoy the ride. Thinking along the lines of Alan Wake, Uncharted, and Last of Us. Any suggestions?

Quantem Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider and many Bethesda games.

Does it have to be third person. Bethesda first person has Prey, Evil Within, and Dishonored 2.

Hopefully soon God of War.

Have you played Bioshock?

Because you should play Bioshock.

Half Life 2 as well as Ep 1 and Ep2, assuming you don't mind being left with a cliffhanger that may never be closed

Portal and Portal 2.

If you don't mind indy, LIMBO is a wonderful, short little game.

Alright, I'm done skimming my Steam library

Playing the remastered version now and it's still as awesome as I remember.

Second this suggestion. It's been on sale for about $7 too. Great, linear, fun campaign.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the latest installment of the franchise. I enjoyed it more than 4. About an 8 hour campaign and only $40.

Completely agree with you. I love them but not every game needs to be a 100+ hr open world game.

A nice, semi-structured 10-20 hr game is great too and we need more of them.

I've been replaying the God of War games (1,2,3) in preparation of the upcoming new release and enjoying just being able to play a fast paced action game without worrying about exploring and side quests and shite.

Are those available on ps4? Might give it a try.
Some good suggestions in this thread. Loved titanfall 2 and tomb raider. Have always heard bioshock was awesome, but something about the aesthetic turns me off.
Thought Uncharted Chloe edition would pull me in, but for some reason I couldn't get into it. Might give it another shot.

Which platform? Everything I've read about the PC/Steam version is that it's a constantly crashing mess. I would be happy to hear that they fixed that.

Na, God of War 1/2 were originally PS2 games and God of War 3 on PS3. They did release a remastered version of both 1+2 in a collection game for PS3, but the new GoW game will be the first PS4 version of the series.

It has crashed a few times on me so that's true...still worth it. Gonna play 2 next and then Infinite.

Fun campaign and the best MP shooter I've played in some time.
