It's pretty bad. It reminds me of the old sports games where once you got up, the opponent starts making miraculous interceptions, recovers fumbles, etc.
This game is exactly like that. You win a few in a row, then you get crazy wind, or match with someone 300 points higher. I'm in the 150 range right now, and have been as high as 220. Just matched against a 450 in the 800 coin buyin tourney

story of my Golf Clash career in the last 2 weeks.
I was at $3 million and 1900 trophies winning probably 3 out of 5 Tour 8 matches. Then Monday came around and I lost 8-9 in a row. Bottomed out around $100k. Straight up miracles happening for opponents. 2-3 hole in ones in draw overtime matches, when i was shooting first and dropping it within 2 yards. multiple pitch in's from 25-75 yards away for opponents. infuriating. and never was i shanking the ball or playing bad. just shite luck or high ranking players with epic clubs they gem'ed.
i've slowly built my way up by playing tour 5, then tour 6, and now tour 7 matches to get back up to $1.2 million. back at 1850ish trophies and playing Tour 8 matches. And yet, I haven't gotten more than 1-2 club cards from Tour 6+ clubs. Nothing but Tour 3-5 club cards that i'll never ever use.
There's no way for me to compete in Tour 8 with the lvl 5 The Extra Mile when my opponents are rocking lvl 3 Thor's Hammer or lvl 2-3 Apocalypse. I've played this game since release week and i feel like i'm 3-4 months behind on club cards compared to some of the people in my league.

I finally got fed up with Golf Clash and deleted it for good. It's a glorified slot machine. You get up big, and then the "slot" decides to put you on a losing streak.
They want you to buy gems. And when you do, they make you think it was worth it by winning some games. Once they sucker you in, you go on the losing streak that you're talking about.
I think sometimes you're playing a robot too. I just was playing a "guy" yesterday and the game glitched in mid swing of my opponent taking his playoff shot. It glitched to the screen showing him as the winner, before the shot even happened.
WGT golf is so much better by the way. It's more real for starters. Some of the shots that happen in Golf Clash would not happen at all. You're never going to "slam dunk" a chip.
And a little 5 mph wind going East/West is never going to push my ball in mid flight off 30 degrees.

You do play bots 100%. I was reading a very competitive guy talk about it on Reddit. He was saying that if the game searches for too long it will match you up against a bot. More reason Im glad I deleted this game

Anyone still playing? I was in a major slump for a while. I was stuck in the $10l-$100k range for the longest time. I finally began winning and now I'm sitting at $3.5 mil.

Anyone still play this game? I just discovered it a month or so ago it's pretty fun.
My biggest beef is when you play the higher tours the wind is inconsistent. If you don't hit the ball perfect the wind doesn't do what it should, is be fine with that if it was always like that but it's not. I'm not a fan of games that change the way it works as you progress. I'm all in for making the holes more challenging, increasing wind power, etc.... but don't change the mechanics of the game

Hey, thank you for offering the club spreadsheet. Just what I need...to take this obsession to the next level! In all seriousness though, I appreciate it. I had been poking around on-line for something like this and hadn't found it yet. Much obliged!
