does the gaming board have any other suggestions for me? Not really looking for a FPS or anything, maybe another open world action game. could be an older game that I might not have played as well, but not super old

I have an Xbox and a Ps3 so exclusives are cool too

Shot in the dark here, but have you ever played Dark Souls?

I don't know what you've played, but if you want open world there's FO3, FO:NV, Skyrim.

I'm not sure if Metro 2033 is on either console, but it's a great game. Also check out The Witcher 2.

yea I thought about witcher 2, but it literally sounds just like skyrim, which I kind of got done playing.

but then again, dishonored may be just like it too... I had never played a bethesda game before skyrim and really really liked it

Witcher 2, nothing like Skyrim same genre but better. Not open world though but it does not matter the game frikking rocks. Metro 2033 is another solid choice like Tom I love this game and have played it through at least 4 times

Witcher 2 and Dishonored are not similar to Skyrim.

I guess I just meant it seemed like skyrim because I looked up the type of characters you could make and it seemed exactly like skyrim... stealth character, mage, warrior, etc...

that may be a common setup for those types of games though. skyrim was the first of it's kind I had every played

Game is amazing. Personally I enjoyed witcher2 over skyrim. Better story, combat mechanics, lot tougher

I really enjoyed skyrim though don't get me wrong.

And of course...it wouldn't be a fall gaming board jefforize post without me mentioning guildwars2 shits on both of these, but, obviously not applicable to the op

BTW LINK has a 20% off code on the main page, you can use it more than once so you can buy any of the games listed for a discount.

Yeah that's a common setup. Almost all RPG type games will have a straight melee, a stealthy melee, a bow&arrow type, and some type of caster.

What differentiates these titles are gfx, story, combat mechanics, and char progression. Some do it better than others..

Dark souls is my favorite game ever. It's not as hard as its made out to be. The game just capitalizes on your mistakes. Very fair difficulty

Witches 2 shits on skyrim. It's not even close.

Check out Deus Ex Human Revolution. Another favorite.

Assuming you got paid today, like me, and want two $60 dollar titles ($120), and want to spend $120 which could else be used on hookers and blow, I recommend purchasing both dishonored and borderlands 2 and furthermore imply you will enjoy your purchase.
