The DLC bosses, in general, are tough. I don't know why I forgot about them.

I don't think I spent much time on them though.

Kiln door open. Sanctuary Guardian and Artorias down. The march to Manus starts tomorrow.

So I’ve run DS2 to the Dragons Peak and I know I’m nearing the end but I just needed a break.

I wanted to goof around and try the PS4 version of Elden Ring on PS5 to see how it compared performance and stability wise.

The next thing I know I’m 8 hours into a new Elden Ring play through and smashing Godrick without any summons.

It’s wild how differently I see Elden Rings design now that I’ve played the entire Souls trilogy.

It’s an absolute freaking masterpiece of a game and the scenery and world design is beyond beautiful.

I started just walking on foot 90% of this play through and have discovered so much I missed on my first two play throughs. It’s insane.

I’m going to just have to force myself to quit gaming for a while at this point because I’m too addicted.

All Souls vets who haven’t played Black Myth Wukong… I CANT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH.

Legitimately may be a top 10 all time game for me. It’s so much fun and the world is amazing (semi open world). Bosses can be very tough. There are some differences like being able to pause or respec your build; however, you don’t have to utilize these if you don’t want.

Please play this game lol

I plan to pick it up. I’ve got a $20 coupon from PlayStation stars and I’m thinking black myth is the game for it.

I've been playing BG3 so I actually never touched it after this last post. Decided to go after Manus this morning. Took me about an hour and a half of attempts, but Manus down SL1 no pyro.

Absolutely. I consider it a core mechanic of the fight. I understand why some would avoid it for extra difficulty, but the fight just doesn’t feel right without it to me.

Also, frick Kalameet. I hate that fricking fight. But anyway, he’s down as well. So is the Black Hydra, just for funsies.

All that’s left is Gwyn.

If I’m not back in five minutes saying Gwyn down, I’ll be a little disappointed

Nice work. SL1 completions are always an accomplishment.

I appreciate it. If I had done it with pyro, I would have felt like I had to come back at some point. But this required a level of git gud boss learning that truly felt like mastering the core components of the game.

Some parts were obviously frustrating, but over all, that was a really, really fulfilling run.

People say Hardcore WoW is amazing to play.

Every fight has an innate intensity to it.. an adrenaline rush, because if you die, you have to start all over with a new character.

Imagine sinking 3 or 4 months into a character and dying.. and starting all over.

It's for the most hardcore people and streamers of course... I thought about trying it out.

They say the normal players who play just quit after getting a character to level 60 and dying..

That's a feeling you don't get from regular WoW games. Hardcore kinda sounds like a fun ride. Just such slow gameplay when you've played retail a while.

I forgot to mention that, while I played the entire run with a lightning hand axe, I did have to take a reinforced club to +15 to not want to kill myself on Kalameet. I’m sure I could have done it, but god damn, I hate that fight

So, between then and now, I realized I had literally never no-parried Gwyn, so I did a quick runthrough so I could do that. Was actually more difficult than I thought it would be, but ultimately got into a groove and took him out without too much trouble. So, I figured frick it, I'll do an SL1 and no parry Gwyn at the end...

No parry Gwyn is easily, not close, the most difficult SL1 boss. He's got a fairly beefy health pool, hits like a fricking truck, and has an extremely erratic moveset which includes and extremely fast no windup swipe and an input reading heal punish. Oh, and I can, barely, facetank a single hit.

fricking hell...
