How is that a flaw exactly? It's a game mechanic that he takes full advantage of, other people can build just like him but he's just good at it

It baffles me at how bad many of these players are that streamers go up against. They may find one person with any skill throughout a game, and the rest are chickens with their head cut off.

There isn't skill based matchmaking in fortnite still.
And it is insanely popular to casual gamers right now.
So you end up with a lot of potatoes. Really obvious in PC lobbies since PC controls make the skill gap so big. Less building on consoles so casual guys fair better.

Edit: speaking of that Drake and Scott were on PS4, that had to suck for them playing with Ninja, as it would put them in PC lobbies when you cross play.

Anyone on Xbox play with the elite controller? I imagine the extra paddles make building much easier, thinking about scooping one up.

I use an impact controller on PS4. So pretty much the same thing. If you can justify the price you should get one. Takes a bit to get the muscle memory down but being able to aim while switching to build mode or jumping is nice.

i just have one paddle that I use for jumping. thought about adding one that is mapped to B to make construction switch quicker, than wire two more to lb and rb. dont wanna relearn though lmao

I have one... I mean it kinda helps with building.. It really helps with jumping and aiming.. I just have one keyed to A(to jump) and one pulled out to B(to pull out building materials).

Since you can key buttons to actual types of building formats it doesn't help you as much as you think it would. when it comes to building at least. Once they finally let you customize you button layout then it will be really helpful

yeah I cant play with 4 paddles. Just to much to think about. In reality with the way things are set up right now its not that big of a difference leaving them and RB and LB. you can quickly move your finger from RB to right trigger to shoot anyways. The impact would be small. And I believe with that many paddles Id make a lot of mistakes

Ah ok. I was thinking you’d be able to bind ramp, wall, floor to a diff paddle button but I guess not?

No, Epic is being weird and not giving us that option. Hopefully it does come one day.

Seems like a very unfair advantage for people with the more expensive controllers

Maybe. Do you gimp your controls on purpose for people on the basic controllers though? PC doesn't. Somebody with a gaming mouse with extra buttons will have an easier time than your standard setup.

The difference on PC is that anybody can get a mouse with some extra buttons for like 15 whereas on console a scuff would be like 100. Also anybody on PC can map building to their keyboard.
