For Xbox Series X games, do you prefer having a hard copy?

Or do you prefer getting the digital version that lets you play on your PC as well?

Just because it’s easier and convenient I mainly do digital. If there’s a cool commemorative edition hard copy for a game I’ll snag it tho, I like to keep things like that.

I’ve made the switch to digital. It’s so much more convenient and my games don’t take up space in my house.

I've been in the system for almost 21 years and couldn't tell you the last actual disc I bought..it was unbelievably convenient when my kids were growing up not having disc around, and we have just stuck with it

Haven't bought a hard copy in years.

PS5 here I paid out of my arse 900$ before scalped drop for the highest storage disc drive. I will buy 85% digital but stuff like FF7 remake, most FromGames, stuff specifically special to me I wanna have physical

Couldn't tell you the last time I bought a hard copy of a game.
As soon as I could buy digital on any platform that is what I did.

I still prefer the physical copy. Whenever I am done with the game, just trade in. If I really like the game, I will keep it. But Gamepass keeps getting more games I like. I am actually buying less and less games peroid.

Digital. I just remove it when I quit playing it. It's still in the xbox store paid for if i ever want to dl and play again. I never go to any store and purchase a hard copy. They get scratched etc.

No, I dont like swapping out discs.
I wish some gigantic games were just sold as external hard drives.

Digital here. Hard copies always get lost or broken in my house.
The argument for hard copies at one point was that you would still have access to the game even if the digital version went away. The truth is that most hard copies have very little, or no actual data on the disc at all and are just there to check your license, you still need your account and access to the internet to download and play the game.
Might as well cut out the easily lost/broken part.

Absolutely. I've been curating a small collection and previous gen games can be had for cheap. I had the OG Xbox way back when and a few games for it and slowly finding copies of those as well as some favorites of mine on the 360. Some games like Forza Horizon 3 I believe you can only get as a physical copy.
