Bestbuy has a ROG with a 3080 for $1,999 that comes in stop every now and then. Because of that, I would pass on the one you linked in hopes to get that Bestbuy one (or other now that prices are creeping down).

Yea I think so - problem is August 6th delivery estimate. However, it qualifies for the Free Returns so you can cancel or return for a full refund if you find something better between now and then.

There was a period of time a few weeks ago in which the 3080FE was flat out removed from BB.com. Not sure what was going on with that. Wouldn't surprise me if Nvidia has improved yields such that they are trying to push everyone towards the more expensive LHR 3080ti.

I’d take a 3060TI, 3070, or 3070TI, but they’re showing as not being in stock for 3-4 weeks now

Man, I finally decided to try my luck getting a 30 series GPU on Monday. Having previously been through this shite with the Xbox Series X pre-order I knew two things. First, I wanted to taget Best Buy and I wanted to purchase thru the mobile app because that worked for me before when I lost numerous Xboxes via their website. I decided to give distill.io a shot, but realized quick they had many shortcomings, the biggest was it would get rate limited quick, also wasn't free to get text, links in text didn't open the app and it didn't allow for geolocation. So, this morning I wrote a quick bot that basically continuously checks a list of GPUs on BB.com using a workaround I discovered so to not get rate limited and sends me a text when one is in stock. My BB app opens up logged in and my BB card is saved as default payment. Well I deployed it at 10:30am today and got a Gigabyte 12GB 3060 a few minutes ago. From receiving the text to clicking all the way through checkout took about 10 seconds. I was laughing my arse off at how perfect to plan it went and how lucky I was they actually did restocks on the same day I deployed

Snagged one of those for a buddy as well. They have the LHR but he isn’t a miner so it works out for him. He’s still rocking a GTX 770 or some shite.

Yeah, I thought about it but it's very raw and there's no GUI or anything. To get it running locally you would basically have to know enough about Node, Puppeteer and javascript to where you could just write something similar yourself. Plus, I may fine-tune it as a side project, containerize it and rent the containers out.
