Just looked at the price for a used 3080 tuf and holy shite....
It was the budget 3080 when I got it, these prices are madness.

Is Zotac bad these days?
I say these days because the latest cards are all so similar within their price point.
It's still generally considered among the bottom of the totem pole both in performance and build quality, but ultimately, we aren't talking about much. If a Zotac card is what you can get your hands on for a reasonable price, go for it.

Nah I'm not in the market for Nvidia cards.
Was just curious since these days they are all more or less the same between all brands.
For example among 3080s the Zotac Trinity is consistently rated a top 3 performing card.

Ya, AMD cards keep skyrocketing. And another 10% increase just a week ago. I'm waiting for MCM anyways at this point after selling my 6800XT.

Bless some BestBuy luck, the EVGA queue, and MTech. All combined means I have a 3080fe in my case right now and am out a grand total of $350

Posted on 12/4/21 at 8:45 pm to UltimateHog
Bought my 3070fe for $500 minus my birthday discount($50) plus tax ($50) all in for $500 from BestBuy. Sold it after a year of use for $750. +$250
Bought a 3080 FTW3 Ultra for $989 including tax and shipping from the EVGA queue. Sold it NIB for $1,200 to a friend of a friend. +$211
Then bought my 3080fe from MTECH for $700 plus tax plus shipping, total $784.
So $784 minus $461 for a net cost of $323 to acquire a 3080fe. Not bad considering we live in the GPU apocalypse

Based on that @everyone that just went out, I assume y’all have been riding poor Mike’s arse

well, the poor bastard shouldn't be randomly sending out cards. it should've always been FIFO.
here's the message. he's putting a hold on all new orders until he's caught up.

I agree. His ridiculous order fulfillment system causes 90% of the flak he gets from people.

I just gave up and got prebuilt from microcenter. Honestly, it wasn't worth the effort to maybe save a couple hundred bucks. Really impressed with the quality of the build. $1600 for AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 3.8GHz Processor with AIO; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti 8GB GDDR6; 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM; 1TB Solid State Drive

It's not too bad of a price. AIB MSRP on that card is probably $1200. Same cooler as the one I had that have them as a top 3 performing card.

y'all get ready for best buy. the xboxes just dropped.

How many "verify account" loops can one person be in?
I'm up to 5.
ETA: If it stops one scalper from getting one card, it'll be worth it.

that nerdspeak timer extension is a lifesaver, but if you use it more than once, it'll put you in a loop.
