As I've been saying Square is Listening to its fans. Sucks that they have to do it but great that they are.

Maybe they should have fixed some of these things in the previous 10 years of development

Yeah I mean I'm over here thinking.. so do I finish playing the game? Or just play it through and come back in a couple months and play the new FFXV lol

Keep in mind this was a game that when delayed this fall they said was to avoid a day 1 patch. Then game still had a massive day 1 patch and now this

We waited 10 years. The game wasn't being worked on for 10 years.

This game was announced in 2006

A new director was announced in 2014.
ETA: Or was it 2012

Yes, this game had development problems. That's been part of the hole saga with this game.

Right, but people think the final product has been worked on for 10 years when much had been scrapped from versus 13. frick the original director came into the office suggesting an idea that the game be a musical.

Yeah, but it was also completely scrapped and was supposed to be Final Fantasy Versus XIII originally.
The common belief in the gaming media is that development for this actual game didn't start until late 2012.

That would explain the boy band

True.
Tetsuya Nomura Is working on 7 remake now. I think square was like okayyyyyyyy how about younwork on a game that already is a story in place.

Lol.
I actually like the bro trip aspect of the game though.

Did you see the story where he didn't know he was working on it? After they announced the game and said who was making it he was like what?!?!
I just think square is a cluster frick

I think they were, but I also think they are getting better. Especially since the disaster that was 13 and 14. Those years were bad.l in the eyes of many.
Then they fixed 14 and gave us 15 and announced 7 remake.

And like fox said. XV does benefit from being a good game coming off those bad years.

Just thought I'd add that you may want to just playthrough. They're adding a NG+, so my plan at least is to play through how it is now, then do a NG+ once they supposedly add the new shite.
Partly to get it done and so I can try and measure the differences.

I hope they take some of this feedback and use it to improve on the DLC.
My issues mostly lie with the side quest and the open world. The side quest have no meaning and the open world is overwhelming yet underwhelming. They should have taken the opportunity to use the sidequest to add life to parts of the map.
One can lead you to a new place but it is just another pit stop. Why not have a quest being you into a small village or something like that. It just has no life to it.

The lifelessness is a problem with many open world games. Lots of open expanses, nothing to do in them.
With a game like final fantasy, I'd almost prefer more linearity so long as story is a focus. Even the old snes and psx games were pretty linear despite the overworld giving the illusion of freedom at times.

I have been preaching this forever on here.
To hell with the open wold craze. Ruining my favorite franchises. (Metal Gear, FF)
Kills me that if it isn't open world it is considered a bad thing by the majority this day and age.
