Only Cloud sees him until they are in the Drum. In the Drum, they all do.

Hojo doesn't try his bestiality fetish in this version either (in the original he puts Red and Aerith in the same pod to get them to mate).

Okay? You understand Sephiroth can make Cloud see things right? He also can be there in one of his clone's flesh.

That Aerith scene after sector 1 bombing is still Sephiroth messing with the timeline. It is why they had the time cops come out. The first hint that somebody is altering Destiny.

The hope was that it would be meltdowns by CLoud. But it wasn't.

You literally meet Sephiroth after the first reactor bombing. And time cops.

That's not minor to me.

I didn't have a problem with meeting him so early on. We already know he is going to be the main villain of the game. There was absolutely no need to keep his presence hidden, especially considering the new direct they're taking the story.

The way that the group found President Shinra dead in the original is still much creepier. (Following a trail of dead bodies until they reached the roof)

The twist with Domino covering their tracks in the Shinra building was great though.

They didn't frick Reno up during the plate scene though (in the original Tifa cripples him and Elena has to be promoted to cover down)

Tifa: Hey Cloud...can you do me a SOLID?

Barret: Now remember...don't frick up!

Yuffie: We're all going to the Gold Saucer we are going we are going to the Gold Sauceeeeeeeer....

Cid: Shera! Make us some God Damn Tea!

Red: If you think what Yuffie did on the poop deck was bad, you don't want to know what I did on the vomit deck.

Also just want to point out that very word Remake lends to the fact they "remade" the game.

This was never a recreation with updated graphics.

They remade the game, which opened up all these timeline possibilities.

I love it so far but I'm still only just getting to Wall Market so we'll see how I feel by the end, but thanks to this thread before being marked spoliers I kinda know where it goes, and being a time travel/alternate timeline buff, I can't wait

For the record. I don't hate the game. I have said a number of times it is good to great. I loved everything except for the timeline stuff.
I just do not like Nomura's style of story telling. He's too much for me.

Oh I know I'm just referencing people that are saying this isn't a true Remake

Just saying by definition it really is more than a frame by frame updated coat of paint would be

You should watch FF7:Machinabridged by Team4Star. It takes the old game and dubs voices on it in the most sarcastic way possible.

Also...I'm not gonna lie. I thought the most annoying boss fight of the entire game was Rufus Shinra. He kept on dodging my moves and shooting me in the back with his shotgun. I couldn't build up my ATB gauge as a result.

I'm only in chapter 10 but I have much preferred the story in the remake vs the original, although I have always thought that the original was only the 4th, maybe 5th, best final fantasy game (9,6,4,7,10). My only complaint is that I wish the combat was still turn based. I know both my opinion on the FF7 ranking and turn based vs action rpg are in the minority but turn based will always be better than action.

Technically, 7 takes place thousands of years after X-2. The Al-Bhed (Shin-ra) bled Spira dry, then went to the current world. The Summoners (Yuna's descendents) became the Cetra.
