The one I finished earlier this week I got it. It's really not that hard if you know how the limit break system works. But yes grinding sucks

You should get around. It's forums like these will typically only praise VII and X. Nothing against these games, but enthusiasts will typically go for VI or IX.

ahh, one of the original "Grinds" in all of video gaming... Knights of the Round and then beating the Weapons.
like i said, my ff7 froze in the observatory. I wouldnt have grinded it out anyways but i had respect for those at school who did.
Limit breaks, materia, cutting edge graphics, this game was really revolutionary for its time

Emerald weapon requires maximum everything and will still take an hour to beat. Hits for 9999 on the reg, heals itself, and has over 1 million hp

You don't wwant to know how much I grinded on my first play-through.
Maxed out every materia so you could trade them at bugenhagens for the masters.
Easiest way to beat the optional weapons was to get Knights of the Round, level it up to 4, Mimes and MagicX2s. Do it so where you can cast KotR twice then mimic with everybody. He'll still probably kill everyone so you have to have somebody with a final attack+Phoenix combo. Then repeat that shite. Also helps to have a bunch of magic+ materia.
ETA - First time I did it I had no idea about the guy in Kalm. So I had to beat Emerald with those long-arse cut scenes in under 20 minutes.
