Yeah FF14 deserves it’s due deference wether you enjoy it because of genre or whatever. Anyone on the fence regarding combat, yes they add the story mode with basically auto win buttons but normal mode which is the only other choice in regular new game truly isn’t hard. This game has an extremely high skill ceiling which was drive hardcore players who want to master it with like 3 difficulty levels above theb1st play through that moves Mobs, change mechanics, etc but it’s also designed with lower skilled or story focused players in mind and if you just take a bit of time to ready the tutorials and what your moves do I promise you PROMISE you that you will not struggle much in the game.
Not to mention the training arena where you can practice literally anything you want against any enemy or set of enemies you want while adding a ton of modifiers from invincibility to practice timings to anything else you can dream of. The three powers more or less mostly fully let off the leash and given to you completely are Phoenix, Garuda, and Titan, titans shield can be held up forever as it is your 0 attack but a perfect block allows powerful parties. Youll see each eikon has a purpose and each move within multiple. The only move you have in the demo during the prologue does damage and launches enemies but also if timed right acts as a block/counter.
Shiva wasn’t shown in the video but two of her 4 attacks involve bringing enemies within ranges to you and the same buy away from you. I can’t speak for Bahamaut or Odin. Cids has a high damage single target judgement bolt but also a “kingdom hearts” type of mark and shoot as well as thing you can toss on the field that hurts you and Allie’s alike if it hits you. You have the ability to master any skill and once done move it into a different Eikons abilities.
If anyone is still skeptical after the 1st ill have done 100% by then if anyone is still wavering if im confident once I’ve beaten the game (which could change) I’ll donate a copy to you for free.

I’ve seen rumors an FF14 patch should come soon since Feb was their last and they come every 4 months. Is this what you saw and mistook to come be a hater?

I mean odd that it’s NO WHERE else on the internet but if it is true and it will help improve some players experiences this is always what has made Yoski P special. Complete transparency even if it embarrasses him and I only see this as a good thing.

Out there but I do think Clive’s part is true: his “mom” isn’t his birth mom and while I think they will not play too far into the GoT tropes I don’t believe they will be able to resist here. His birth mom will tie him to the ancients or forbears or whatever the previous civilization and that’s where his power comes from
Bonus: Leviathan is in the game. I mean he is in the mural. Iron Kingdom keeps killing him but we will find someway

Mines digital. But I’ll buy you a free copy either digital or however after I’d say the 1st roughly. I have to finish the game first to ensure I can tell you its at least a 7 but when I really became a machine at the demo I’m thinking 9 now.

My initial aim was to share the joy I will definitely be having with h someone who maybe couldn’t afford it but if theres no one there that fits that boat I guess someone unsure if it’s the type of FF for them will work I have already budgeted it

Well, no one replied to your initial offer so I figured I'd see if you were good for it. Demo blew me away and since I just bought a new computer and have multiple other games coming out in the next few months that I need to decide if I want or not, sure...let's say I can't afford it.
If you want to gift it to someone else, that's fine. But this seems like a game that I will really enjoy and it definitely wasn't on my radar. I have a few months until Starfield so this could be a good game until then.

As I said I want to finish the game myself first before I can 100% say yes you must play this to anyone. It no one else claims i by then the copy is yours even. Me and you are like the big lifters today shaking hands with our biceps pulsing on the same side after I said Starfield honesty blew me away. But yes… I am good for it my motivation was to try someone on the fence to play or someone maybe needing that money for food. But it no one wants it then it’s yours sicboy.

Question about the magic burst mechanic where you hit triangle after a sword swing, its easy to pull off with one hit but if you look at the animation in the menu for magic burst where they have the video example it appears he is performing a 4 hit standard combo with a magic burst in between each hit. Is this possible? I have tried for hours but it seems like each time it interrupts the combo. Also im maybe retarded but if you hit the details button on that screen it shows what you get with each upgrade.
Another thought which dominant do you think we will kill like dead dead first? Hugo is my guess. Bahaumats will eventually be our ally even though we are seen fighting him, and Odin wants to kill the crystals too but has a different idea of how or what comes after. I think Cid will die pretty early from going stone.
Also if anyone is confused or struggling with the ill explained parry system use the strike down from the air or even better the lunge to meet their attack head on its much easier than a single sword swing. The dragoon is the best place to practice this but it sucks it’s like at the very end of it. The bigger goblin is fine too. Wouldn’t recommend parry attempts on Marlboro lol

This will be a non spoiler thread for anything that was not covered in the prologue section of the demo. Leave out info regarding the eikonic segment with cid in a castle as I feel the actual game will be quite different during it. 1 day until launch baby!
Also I know itll be a pain in the arse switching from you have gotten use to but i HIGHLY recommend controller set up B. It makes dodge circle like in almost all games melees r1 and magic r2 making some more difficult combos much easier. If you have time today might do well to practice in the demo. For instance you can charge magic for the magic shot ability you do after a sword strike which is much easier with the r2 button than triangle. There are many more crazy combos it simplifies.
Another cool thing i discovered is you csn charge your eikonic abilities that are applicable like titans while you are lining up the attack by holding the button down and then just release.
