Its certainly not for everyone, but its def an awesome source of instant and breaking news for just about anything, it allows you to get quick and instant answers on most subjects straight from a source that isnt google, minus all the life stories and drama of former high school classmates of facebook, and all in under 140 characters.

Yep
Ill try it around 2pm, when I get home from class, then ill update this again, but other than the one guy who told me he did it with no problems, another buddy said Elite was advertised as not being time sensitive, so it shouldnt matter when you sign up.
Again, ill let you know in a couple hours either way.

I purchased elite last night around 1 when I got home from work. I got the new maps around 3:15 but was too tired to play and wait for then to come up in rotation. I walked around them in a private match for a while and went to bed.

This rumor is bullshite. I upgraded to elite and downloaded the new maps right off fwiw. Im also currently pirating my neighbors internet and holding strong with a > 50ms ping!
