Didn't play witcher 3. But I did play FO4. And I can definitely say that FO4 is a great game and you would not be disappointed with it.

Both is the correct answer.

For action adventure with better graphics, Witcher. Lots more sex.

For less skilled combat but lots more exploration Fallout 4.
If you are into the settlement creation aspect (just like building for building's sake) then you can put an insane amount of time in F4.

W3 is the better game but you're probably stupid so get FO4.

I liked witcher 3 fine, but i don't think it was as great as everyone has said. I love fallout 4, which i think has been absolutely fantastic.

I put about the same time initially for both around 80 hours. As mentioned before it depends on what kind of game you are looking for but neither is a wrong choice.

Witcher 3 was bar none the Game of the Year. Beautiful world, a very interesting and addicting story and sidequests in the game are actually entertaining. It didn't win Game of the Year for nothing.

Fallout 4 was okay IMO. Although I didn't play any other Fallouts before this one. The graphics are underwhelming, but if you like crafting and or building communities I can see why some find it impossible to put down.

Honestly, if you're into fantasy lore then go with the Witcher. You won't be disappointed.

Are you more into medieval/fantasy or post-apocalyptic stuff? I would base my selection around the answer to that question.

There's that, but also you could ask yourself how much you like character building.

Fallout gives you the freedom to build your character however you want

Witcher 3 is leagues ahead of Fallout 4 in almost every area. One of the best games this gen.

Sure. Getting that pan back was magical.

The fetch quests were no different in Witcher than most rpg games.

The bounties were fun but didn't tie into the story like you folks always say. In fact the majority of tasks had nothing to do with the story.

I loved the Witcher, but the whole sidequests were something special simply isn't true.

You basically have that same option in the Witcher, it just isn't physical. Sure, you're character is already determined, but you decide what kind of a man he is whether it's evil, sneaky and corrupt, or kind-hearted and willing to help at a moment's notice for free instead of charging folks.

I'm speaking more in terms of playstyle though.

I can only see myself playing through witcher one way. Ex, you can't play with a sneaky, long-range character.

Did you complete every single sidequest or visit every single question mark on the map? Because I did.

Not every sidequest in the game will have a story that blows your mind away, but I'd safely assume that half or so of them have their own little story to them where you learn something about the world or what not.

SPOILERS FOR THE WITCHER 3

Did you do the bounty on Skellige with the monster in the woods that the townsfolk were offering sacrifices for to keep it happy? Depending on what you did there it totally affected that town for the rest of the game since you either did one thing and people were still there, or you did the other option and everyone there killed one another until there was no one left. I'd say that's a pretty critical bounty that ties into the world.

Ah okay. Yes, spot on in that regard. You can customize your attack style some, but Fallout has it beat there for sure.

I did everything.

I did almost all of the question marks but abandoned the last big batch in the water when I had done about 50 other sunken treasure BS question marks.

I spent 200 hours on the game. I didn't say I disliked it in any way. Just you guys spew nonsense. Most of the sidequests were either kill monster or grab this.

Graphics blow Fallout away.

Heck, they did the best job of any video game to date in bringing a city to life. Novigrad was awesome.

Pretty much everything you said is spot on.

Agree to disagree on the sidequests
