That's brutal. I think there's occasionally people who camp on top of the on-ramp if there's enough time trying to pick people off running on the edge of the map. I think that happened to me once. I always keep an eye up there when I'm running towards railway.
btw I got pissed yesterday....I'm starting to remember how much certain things go for in the market so I'll avoid picking up cheaper items. Well I've gotten one of them wrong...
I kept passing up the cold welding epoxy tubes because I swore they only fetched like $6-7k. Picked one up yesterday because I had a crappy run and realized they were going for like $25-30k. I can't tell you how many of those I've passed up in the last week.

After getting killed a couple times by player scavs on my scav runs, I decided to be a dick and camp around the railway exfil once. I was prone on the other side of the trains, watching the area from the ramps. What I didn't realize, or think, was that someone might walk around on the same side of the trains as me.
I heard someone coming, and was hoping he wasn't walking up behind me on my side of the train. He was, so I started to crawl backwards to stand up. The guy is already staring at me by the time I'm able to stand up and turn around. He started shooting, but I was able to kill him with my stock SKS. Dude had a decked out m4a1 he got from a PMC and OP-SKS with suppressor, sight, etc. Plus other various loot. I don't feel bad, he should have killed me easily.

Yeah I always try to approach by the back of railway for that reason. Before I figured out PMC's have different exfil's than scavs I unintentionally did the exact same thing as you. Popped 3 people in the last few minutes. The last one was with like 30 seconds left. You know that guy had to be pissed.

Had a mother fricker do this to our 3 man yesterday. He popped my bud in the head and me in the thorax nearly instantaneously from up on the ramp as we were making our way up. shite was so fricking annoying

Running scav on shoreline for the 3rd time ever. Run up on the radar weather station and there’s a few npc scavs. I run into the building to check pcs/file cabinets for a flash drive cuz I had found one the round before and died.
2 player scavs run into the building. We do the lean dance. I realize they’re player scavs cuz how they’re strafing. They both have AKs I have only a pistol. No one shoots for like 45 seconds, then one of them shoots me several times, I somehow headshot him and then his buddy who was flanking me within 4 seconds.

Had a reserve scav run in a four man playing around, we run into another group of 3 scav players and are hanging out together. We run past a player and imagine he about shite himself seeing a group of 7 scavs brave hearting his arse

You guys know that you can select server location from the launcher? I just set mine to DC servers and my wait time was like a minute or two tops and holy shite much better lobbies.

Yeah I have a few servers selected to keep it mostly this side of the US. Ima be on for a few hours if anyone wants to run some. Just reached 20 and upgrading my hideout n running some quests

I've been watching Karmakut's new PMC playthru, and seeing his tactics makes me want to get back into it.
Watching the technique he uses to rotate around a fight and than clearing the area after a kill was basically the opposite of what I was doing.

I was proud of myself for doing that at one point in woods yesterday. Would have worked but a damned Scav was right where I needed to rotate. Managed to kill the scav and then I think I traded with the PMC.

Yeah my usual strategy was to make a kill have a quick look around and go in to loot quickly. He really takes his time to clear the entire area when he isn't sure if it's a squad.
