Even that $315m is not all cash, so it's an even better deal than reported. Fully believe EA sent Titanfall 2 to die to devalue Respawn for acquisition.

This seems to be the way gaming studios work. These smaller studios release a new ip that hits big. They get a little too big to be able to afford their talent and continue to make great games. EA or a big publisher buys them up. Then the guys who started the smaller studio leave to start a new studio. Rinse and repeat.
