The presentation looks amazing, and I like the new commentators. The new run mechanics look like they're gonna replace the aggressive catch (I hope). I really hope EA addresses the nano glitches in 17, but I'm not holding my breath.
Also, I really want Leon Sandcastle to make a return to Ultimate Team

Still not as fluid as the old ESPN NFL 2k5

Jesus.... They still haven't fixed that issue where when a QB rolls out, the CB just sits there waiting for him to come to him. I will say this though, I love my running game and this does look a lot more fun.

Hit or miss.. Its a miss for me. The new commentators don't sound authentic and the running game made every play look like a Marshawn Lynch beast mode parody.
I'm only a casual player and I realize this is a work in progress but at this point I'm still out

True, but if I had to listen fricking Nantz and Simms for one more fricking season I was gonna lose my shite.

That's actually better than it used to be, when the CB would blitz when the QB would roll out, leaving the streaking receiver wide open. Also, throwing on the run was much easier in 15 than it is now. Even GT Manziel will occasionally throw a duck 30 yards away from the receiver.

I have no idea who those commentators are. Graphics look just like Madden 16. I will buy just to make Dak Prescott throw passes to Tim Tebow.

I love Toke, but Vols and me had this discussion before, dude only goes as far as his team does. Nearly every time I see him play with default rosters, he gets blown out.

He also chooses his opponents very carefully. SNAPONIC would absolutely destroy him.

My biggest complaint on Madden 16 was the run game or actually controlling the ball carrier. How many times on a running play is my RB going to run into the back of my offensive lineman? It's like half the time I have zero control of him as soon as he gets the ball. Then he also wants to do that spin move without me actually pressing the spin button? I want to be able to make it to where my guy will actually stop sprinting and slow down for a second then hit the turbo. Am I doing something wrong? Even when you let off turbo the runner is in a full sprint. This would also help with the below:
I also can't tell you how many times I'll throw a screen pass to my RB and have so much running room only to run into the back of my offensive lineman for a 3 yard gain. That or I have three lead blockers and they'd allow one single guy to get to me.
Another thing was I could hold the cpu on 1st and 2nd downs easily only to have them complete 95% of their 3rd down conversions.
Anyways, I'm glad I don't have to listen to Simms anymore. Hopefully they also got rid of the presentation for when your rookie QB runs onto the field and they show his stats along with a ball flying through the air and someone taking a snap. Pretty annoying seeing that every game when I'm in year 2026 of my franchise.

Ok, are you hitting the "turbo" the second the ball is handed off? If so, you're gonna run into your blockers. It's not a turbo button, it's acceleration, only use it in space to break away. Also, you can't juke very well while holding the acceleration.
Same thing with the screen, you have to let your blockers set up before you turn on the juice.

I've seen games on ipad that look better than this shite.

I'll be passing on Madden this year for the first time since '06. M16 was absolutely terrible to me. First time I've ever got rid of a copy before the NFL regular season ended, or was even half way finished for that matter. Presentation and all looks great, but as an online franchise player that does nothing for me. None of it will be incorporated into the online gameplay and it's stuff I'll never see while playing the game. FIFA 17 will be my sports game this year.

2K over 10 years ago did almost everything better than Madden has ever done.
Why the frick doesn't EA just go hire that creative team I'll never understand

I learned this back in the NCAA football days.
The only time you should be using your sprint/accelerate button, is when you are in the open field.
If you use it from the get go, defenders can more easily commit to you and you cannot properly set up your blocks.
It also makes your spin moves, jukes, etc... much less effective.

Only positive thing is that there's no more Nantz/Simms
They literally don't change anything year after year. Coaches still have that dumbfounded look on their face after you win a game just awkwardly standing there. At least FIFA moved on to the Frostbite 3 engine and looks much smoother.

Another year of the Saints having Dusty McDonald as their head coach.
