100% agree, especially to this point you mentioned too:

DQ music has always been very iconic to me, and this game certainly follows that trend, but I agree, it just doesn't feel improved at all. It's just a bunch of old tracks mixed in with a few new ones that are unfortunately mediocre for the series' standards.
