Diablo 3 Ultimate Edition currently free on XBox Games Store

Nothing has been announced yet, but I confirmed this myself. I had to go into the store through my XBox to get it, but it is currently downloading on my XBox One. It was not showing as free when I went through the Microsoft store on my computer, but I did not try the XBox app. That probably works.
Says it is "included with Gold," but it is not one of this month's Games with Gold. It is either a mistake, or something will be announced later today. Maybe Blizzard is trying to get some good publicity.

Still too much. And this is coming from someone who put 100 of hours into the game

Just feels very cartoony compared to Diablo 2, the game is also easy as frick. Super easy to beat the entire game without dying once. It was made for more mass appeal than D2. Finding legendary items is a common occurrence, just very corporate feeling and lacks the spooky charm of the previous 2. I would describe it as having the appearance of an expensive iPad game.

If you like ARPGs, it's great. It's just not Diablo 2 which is what the OG Diablo fans wanted.

I could understand why die-hard Diablo fans wouldn't like that, but this sounds exactly like what I want out of this game. I just want to burn through it and see the pretty cutscenes.

I'm thinking of replaying all 3 on PC once the Diablo 2 remake is out. 3 is the one I'm least looking forward to. I may hold off on it and do a quick replay right before 4 releases. There are PC mods that update the graphics for Diablo 1 and overlay the graphics for Diablo 3 to make it look a little darker/more in line with 1 & 2.

Folks are saying they were able to play for a bit and then got kicked out and can no longer open the game. Seems Blizz may have realized their mistake.
I haven't been able to play yet so don't know any of that for sure, but it seems worth mentioning.
