Will there be a continuation of the storyline via DLC or are we expecting updates every month that expand the single player mission

I think there will be two DLC's. If you buy the collectors or ghost edition it comes with them(main reason I am getting the collectors)

And they'll return when gearbox gives us their next gen offering because there's an audience for both. They're too different to really put a dent and each other's sales.

I somewhat agree, just think it was an odd decission from Gearbox to not release it on PS4 and Xbox One. It will only hurt them.

It's filler, and it's a different gearbox studio than the ones who did the first two, but with the same writers.

Also, gearbox has another game coming or soon, so I'm thinking the main studio's efforts were on that before switching to BL3.

I agree with this. They play very different.
My biggest concern is content. It's a beta so we have no way of knowing but I just worry that without a strong story it will get old.

If the demand is there I would expect the new borderlands to later get a remaster. That's the thing these days.

I kinda think Bungie is hoping the mutiplayer via the crucible takes off. It hasn't been a feature that has been talked about, but if anything is the most similar to Halo it is the PvP portion so far IMO.

I don't know about you guys, but as far as the Beta is concerned, there is no point walking into The Crucible unless you are level 8 and have farmed the best weapon you can get out of this trial.
