I wouldn’t say it was a joke, but I get what you’re saying. People bitched about shotguns and the sidearm meta is what they got. It was still more fun than where the crucible is right now in D2.

I'm enjoying it but I'm easy to please. Just to get away from screaming kids for an hour is worth it.
Don't like snipers in heavy, makes them worthless. Never cared for PVP. I enjoy public events in this one better than D1. Need exotics to feel like exotics. I run with all legendary sometimes on weapons.

I played last night for the first time in 3 weeks and have been re-reminded that I? don’t like.
I? already had bought the expansion so I’ll play it and give it that chance. If it doesn’t improve, I’ll be done for good.

I'll admit I'm a casual gamer. But I enjoyed the hell out of D1 and played 400 something hours on it. I have actually enjoyed D2 as well and don't hate it as much as the serious gamer, but I have been trying to play the raid for weeks now: guided games, LFG sites, clan members, etc... and have still yet to play it. Nobody wants to play with someone who hasn't done it, and ironically all these nerds were in the same boat as me at some point. Yet somehow, I still got to 304 just doing flashpoint, etc.... I haven't decided if I'm going to do the expansion, but it's not looking good.

Missing out on the larger activities sucks. I used the companion app to get into the raid. Found a fireteam within a few minutes that was willing to walk me through it.

Never played D1, ~125 or so hours 289 Warlock. I want to like this game more. But god damn it I find myself logging in and staring at the world map going "What the frick should I be doing?" I can usually get the Nightfall strike done through a guided group (been in and out of clans, all mostly seem useless) after sitting through 15+ minute queues a few times a week.
Raids are out of the question. I really wish there was true matchmaking where I could load up with five other randoms and do the Raid and not give a shite if I finished the entire thing in one sitting or not.
Customization seems to be non-existent. A whole lot of generic wardrobe changes and color schemes. Let me paint my own color scheme, god damn it.
PS: I'm on PS4 if any of you knuckleheads want to add me. PSN ID is the same as my username.
TLDR: Really enjoy the weekly content, but when it's done, there's literally no reason to play. Game is fun, when there are objectives to do.

As a guy with a frickton of hours on destiny 1, I have zero interest in playing 2 anymore after getting one character to 305. The game fricking sucks. Period. Its lifeless and boring as frick.
The exotics are trash, the weapon changes suck fricking arse. I actually only fired a fricking sniper rifle once in PvP and a couple of times in pve after using Icebreaker forever. There isn't a single reason why the weapon system was changed. It fricking sucks. Bungie fricked this game in half and I can't fricking stand it.
Edit: after reading my post I attempted to find good qualities I like about the game.
The main story line. Trash.
Supers. Trash
PvP. Total trash.
Raid. The worst one yet.
Nightfalls. Terrible with timer.
I do enjoy titan. That's about it world wide.
The characters. A little more fleshed out. I like that.
This gear system has to go.
Nothing will beat the feeling of watching atheon or crota go down and Icebreaker, Gally or Fatebringer pop on your screen. They took everything good from D1 and just fricking tossed it. I don't fricking get it. I'm so frustrated with Bungie, you stupid motherfricking fricks.

It was fun figuring everything out and I thought figuring out the mechanics were unique, especially with how the raid wasn't exactly linear and had the undercarriage as well.
But I did the thing like 4-5 times and the biggest gripe I heard from clan mates and random people from reddit, which I agreed with after a couple of clears, is that they ultimately got rid of bullet sponge bosses and made every room leading up to Calus just mechanic based encounters.
It's funny, because for a long time in D1 people bitched about the lack of mechanics and bullet sponges, but it doesn't feel like a raid at all without a big bad guy to shoot out and watching their health bar deplete.
The rewards were also complete arse. I don't want tokens after clearing an encounter. I want a loot drop. It wasn't broken beforehand. The first time I cleared the entire raid I got a drop at the dogs (sword) and then a chest piece at Calus. It was lame as shite. I was more excited about the emblem than I was the actual loot.

I have gotten into this discussion before and can understand the other side of it, but i like the casualness to the game. I don't have a ton of time to play, but I look forward to the resets. However, this week, I finally got my last character to 305. I guess I dragged it out enough to get close to the DLC.
