which halberd? The normal halberd isn't in any of the "top 10 weapons" list

If you are talking the gargoyle's halberd... why on earth did you go the +15 route when you could have done lightning?!?!?!

I had a maxxed out lightning gargoyles halberd as well as the regular one.

and a fury sword, and a zweinhander...

Looking back I should of been 2 handing them

holy cow man.. the fury sword and halberd.. are meh weapons

zweinhander is pretty good, I hate how slow it is for pvp though

My favorite is easily the claymore and black knight greataxe, but you have to have a strength build for them to payoff (STR and DEX 45+)

ETA: The gargoyle's halberd with max lightning and an INT build is probably the most damage you can put out in the game - but it caps and is really not that great against fast, agile, enemies, which can cause all kinds of problems in pvp

It definetly is, but play DS1 first.

My main gripe with DS2 is that they lost focus concerning the difficulty.

so DS2 is easier?

That's slightly disappointing, DS had some of the most frustrating / satisfying moments of my gaming life.

In some ways yes and others no.

DS2 just throws more enemies at you and that's its idea of difficulty. The difficulty of DS helps to paint the experience, but it's mostly fair, but DS2 revels in it. They misinterpretated what the fans wanted.

Is it time to over-analyze DSII already? I thought it was a great game, (aside from the three guardian boss).

It is a great game, but it's deserving of criticism as well.

Only get pc if you can connect a good controller for it, if you can, download "dsfix" and you will be happy you did

(This is for DS not DSII obviously)

This. I absolutely loved DS2, and I'm about to start up my second playthrough.

But DS is still my favorite game of all time.

Does your character speed up in later levels?

Why does he swing so slow and walk at a crawling pace? ...but hey, he rolls pretty fast!

You can equip light armor , and run.

the game is meant to be slow played though, to enjoy the environment and find secrets/loot.

You probably had over 50% encumberance and a slow giant weapon. If u want to be "quick"...use leather armor and two daggers

I like to fast roll with Tarkus' armor, so Havel's ring is permanent for me. Ring of F&P has always been my crutch.
