Yep. There are a shitload of areas too. There is actually one if the major bosses in that area. It is an offshoot called the Undead Purgatory. The Skeleton Lords aren't one of the big bads, like the Lost Sinner.

Tried to fight him once and got crushed.

The sinner is a beast for sure. Hit twice and dodge or soak up damage with a shield and hit.

I think he meant the Giant twins in the Gulch. There is a small secret area with Giants guarding a key and loot.

They are damn strong and kick my arse every time.

Its one of those "I must need to be a higher level to beat them" type of enemy.

I ran into a leveling up situation as well. It's a boss called the royal rat vanguard. I kept getting one shotted by that a-hole.

70's as well.

The Royal Rat Vanguard?

That isn't the boss with like 40 rats that attack you at once, is it?

You got it. Scruffy help me out here, where does Heidi go after you talk to her and she leaves the tower of flame?

Her name isn't Heide, but the best way to find her is to simply go back to the Majula bonfire and then run back towards Heide's Tower of Flame. Don't fast travel. You should see her right when you go down those stairs into the stone building in Majula.

She is standing next to that pillar you can examine. For 2000 souls, she will rotate the room, opening up Huntsman's Copse.

So I'm assuming you were able to beat it?

It took me a while to figure out how to.

Just a tip for people fighting the Medusa boss later on, there is a way to remove all of the poison from the floor. Otherwise, it's an incredibly hard fight when you constantly lose health over time. And summon the NPC Jester dude. He duel wields pyromancies, and he kicks arse.

And they brought back the Sun covenant.

I think I'm at 102, with a warrior.

Last night playing Old Iron Keep was the first time I felt like rage quitting. I beat The Last Sinner and the Ruin Sentinels on my first try, but the Old Iron King was a bitch to me. Getting to him is a hastle and he fricking knocks me into a pit not three seconds into the fight.

If I have a major quibble with this game it's the bosses. There are some cool, challenging ones but nothing like O&S, Artorias, 4 Kings, Manus or Sif. A big spider, really?

I will agree with you on that. It seems that the bosses are either rehashed versions of old ones so far or they just aren't very cool characters.

I like the originality of the Skeleton Chariot boss in Undead Purgatory.

I got invaded by some dickwad there last night. I get the message and haul arse over the bridge to the fog gate and his arse spawns right in front of me. Of course.

I've only been invaded once so far and he beat me only because of lag. Had him down to the last hit and swung at him while he had his shield down. Didn't do any damage and then he hits me and kills me. BS.

The times I've been invaded, they'll try and bait me into aggroing enemies. Most of them don't want to actually play the game but just stand somewhere like a chicken shite and hope you're dumb enough to take the bait.

I will say that at least it's not backstab-o-rama like it is in DS.

I'm finding backstabs are much harder to get in this game, even on mobs.
