Screw it. I'm officially on board with the Brannen school of DS. I'm just summoning phantoms left and right to help out. Finally went back to face the pursuer. 2 phantoms, one to distract, the other jumped on the ballistas with me and take him down quick

If there is a computer phantom, I'll summon them only and give the boss a try. Only bosses I summoned people for were Smelter Demon and Pursuer.

Dont worry, I have a good bow and have been using it. frick thoough, where are yall seeing all these phantoms? I barely ever see a phantom I can summon and when I do it immediately says Summon Failed..

Only time I ever summoned was for Old Iron King; summoned twos phantoms, proceeded through the fog door and was almost immediately thrown into the pit behind me. Haven't bothered with it since then.

So it looks like I just beat the game.
I'm actually not happy about this. I wanted to do a little prep work for new game plus. Oh well.
Had to wait through the credits. Apparently, I'm still in my first playthrough. Weird.

This game really gets impressive after the Looking Glass Knight. From there to the Dragon Shrine, utterly fantastic and very Dark/Demon Souls. Has the best bosses of the game, as well.

well, in my defense, that was the final boss and I do have the option to advance onward to a second playthrough from the bonfire.
they're letting me stay as long as I wish in this playthrough though, which is nice. got some loose ends to tie up.

I have been trolling it up in the pharros cave as a ratbro.
let my minions do the dirty work, I sit back with the bow and lob potshots. sometimes I'll mix it up with a sword just for a change of pace.
