I'm feeling that way about deus ex.

For future reference, I'm going to let you try out all new games and then set my line up

We seem to have similar styles

Sounds pretty awesome. Would at least be a very entertaining read if you ever consider writing like a novel or something. But I like your ideas.

would definitely have a good section of bonding with sif so that their relationship is a hallmark of the story.

may even have sif come in the final battle so sif's story comes full circle and he finishes what Artorias started, but that'd probably be too cliché

I think when he comes back and sees Sif after helping him before they are just buddy buddy Sif should start attacking the Hero and through a great fight, not just physical but mental (Hero trying to persuade Sif that he knows him and all is ok), they come to terms with who each other is and cease fighting from that point on Sif is on team good side.

A page or two back ...

quote:

My story would probably go like this: A medieval setting much like the one of Dark Souls. Manus, the boss of the DLC and father of the Abyss, is a sort of inter-dimensional traveller that invades different dimensions and unleashes the Abyss on civilizations, turning them into monsters and consuming that world in darkness. The setting for the story would be a same-universe-but-later-time-period setting in a kingdom that neighbors Oolacile (in the present day, Oolacile is much like Chernobyl and nobody goes near it). Manus comes to the current period and unleashes the Abyss on the main hero's kingdom. He escapes into the forest surrounding his city and Dusk, somehow capable of time travel, makes it into present day. She tells him that he needs the Greatsword of Artorias to slay Manus because of it's tainting by the Abyss.

Hero goes to the grave of Artorias, a hero from his city, and is confronted by Great Grey Wolf Sif. In this however, he is unable to defeat Sif, and leaves. Goes back to Dusk, and she brings him back to her time as her city is being consumed. Some stuff happens and hero ends up witnessing Artorias and Sif battling Manus. The battle is obviously in Manus' favor, and Artorias plants his Greatshield into the ground in front of Sif to save him. Sif escapes but Artorias is consumed. Hero travels further into future after Oolacile is completely lost and has to battle the Abyssal Artorias like in the game. Defeats him, but he doesn't have his original sword. Hero moves further on and discovers Sif being attacked. He saves Sif and nurses him back to health and sends him off to safety, then travels back to his own time.

In the present, the Hero goes back to the tomb of Artorias and Sif, at first hostile, recognizes his savior from many years ago (the first time they meet, Sif will be mutilated in some way and have many scars due to the attack in the past, and now in the present they will be gone because of the altered timeline). Hero will tell Sif that he needs the sword to end Manus' reign, and Sif gives it to him.

Epic battle with Manus ensues. During the battle, I want Manus to try and escape through his dimensional wormholes and Hero always goes through, and for one of the spots they end up, I want it to be a present-day freeway. Think it would be a badass touch. Hero kills Manus and ends the reign of the Abyss.

Sorry for TL;DR, but please tell me what yall think so I can get to writing

they're discussing Carson's screenplay idea. Some shite goes down in the dlc which involves Sif, seeing as he and Artorias were homeboys.

If you include pictures and make the lead character the female vendor in the sewer tunnel, I could definitely fap to it.

This shite is going down later ... Okay I finished blighttown, Anor Londo, killed the Ceaseless Discharge where should I go from here ... I kinda of forgot what is available. Is it better to wait on the DLC or could it be done now? What about the painted world?? I still haven't faced pinwheel or Sif yet either.

ETA: I might not get that chance to throw down on DS after all ... I forgot that I made a commitment to be a Bailiff for a Law School Moot Court Competition.
