I was looking up the Capra Demon fight, just to get a feel for what to expect, and I got dragged into watching videos of the lore behind this game.

It is fricking deep and incredibly badass. Apparently you really have to look for it though.

That's awesome. Post the link. I'm all about in depth story lines in RPGs.

Here is the first one I watched that got me hooked.

Dark Souls Lore: Izalith, Chaos Covenant, Pyromancy, and You!

It does show bosses and stuff, so I guess you could call that spoilers.

Also, some of it is speculation, but it is cool nonetheless.

Undead Asylum (Asylum Demon)
Undead Burg (Taurus Demon)
Undead Parish (Gargoyles)
Darkroot Garden (Moonlighy Butterfly)
Lower Undead Burg (Capra Demon)
The Depths (Gaping Dragon)
Undead Asylum Revisited (Stray Demon)
Blighttown (Quelaag)

So a few questions. Finally killed that damned fire dragon and shat my pants fighting the Gaping Dragon. Now that I'm done with the depths, how do I get back to Undead Asylum, since I'm supposed to be doing that before Blighttown?

2nd, if I give the special stone thing to the blacksmith and he says he'll forge me a super cool weapon, how long do I have to wait to get it from him? Does he just make something and I go pick it up? How does that work?

3rd, should I be putting points into Resistance? Because I spent about 5 minutes in Blighttown just exploring and got poisoned like 20 times.

That's pretty much all the questions I have for now. Gonna call it a night. My hit list in the last few hours includes:

Bell Gargoyles
Titanite Demon
Moonlight Butterfly
Capra Demon
Hellkite Dragon
Gaping Dragon

Not bad for one night's worth of work.

To get back to Asylum, get on the elevator from Firelink to the Parish and jump out on that ledge. Walk onto the grass an roll onto the big stone crossbeam. Walk up it and you should see some stairs. If I recall correctly, you nee to get a key o the roof of an adjacent building so you may have to do the jumps again. Go up to top of stairs and get in the crow best. Curl in ball and wait.

Give the blacksmith the ember. With it, he can upgrade weapons to whatever element the ember is, or if its a stone he can ascend weapons to double digits.

Don't bother with resistance. When going down Blighttown from the depths, you'll find an armor set with ridiculous poison resistance that makes the poison damage negligible.

Oh, and make sure you pick up a particular ring and other goodies in the Asylum before heading down to Blighttown. Trust me, you'll want that ring...

Yeah, ENB has some good lore videos. Also on reddit there are DS lore in the style of the oatmeal. It's very very cool. There is definitely a story there, you just have to read item descriptions, exhaust the dialogue, and pay attention to the landscape and your surroundings.

Also, where can I sell crap?

@ Scruffy, BPG & Fireman

After you ring the second bell of awakening you can go back to the Firelink Shrine go into the Temple, like your heading to the Graveyard, and there will be Kingseeker Frampt.

You are able to sell any item to him in exchange for souls. So lets say you have 6 shortswords and you don't want any of them. Just go to this dude and feed him the swords and in return he will give you souls.

Hope this helps ... I don't know if there is somewhere else to do that but this place is opened to you rather quickly and also is a good central location.

Yes, you will want that ring for many locations throughout the game. Also, after you beat the boss in the asylum, return to your starting cell and grab that doll. You will need it... If you can get to it

It's the one you see on the roof at firelink on your way up to the crows nest.

And I believe this is key opens the door to the ring. Previously this door could not be opened in the tutorial.

I'm think he is referring to the motherfricker guarding the doll.

No, that is to open a door to get to the ring you want. The doll is used to open up a large, secret area with cool items and a boss that you can fight, or not.

Thats all I am saying.
