No, unfortunately. I haven't had the chance to play much of anything lately; I haven't had a day off since the beginning of of the month.

That sucks. I actually played DS2 this morning for the hell of it. I had to teach myself the controls again but i did beat 2 bosses

I'm changing work schedules and fixing time have most of the week freed up after this month. Which means I'm getting the kiddo's little arse in bed about 8 and it's game on.

Mine did it for a long time, maybe a year or two after we took the crib away. She sleeps like a rock now.

For the people who ordered physical copies from Amazon and want it release day, go check your estimated arrival date... Mine was a full week after the 12th, and they said they weren't going to be able to get it to me on release day so I cancelled and pre-ordered from Gamestop

So DS2 has a lot more complexity than Bloodborne did with build, weapons, etc... I could use some pointers.

I have been leveling up my broadsword from the beginning and it is now about +6. I was using a shield but I have been going 2 handed more and more because it keeps me nimble and not relying on a shield. Thoughts?

I think you're on the right track. You'll rack up some levels fairly easily in. DS2. I would advise ditching the broadsword when you can and going with one of the better STR-based greatswords.
Aside from getting your STR and DEX up to meet your item requirements, I would set goals to get VIT, END, VGR, and ADP up to 20. Then just start increasing STR for extra damage. Later you might think about augmenting your build with faith. Do some googling for Strength-Faith builds, as they are very popular. The Lightning spear, and great lightning spear miracles are insanely good. For this build, you will eventually want both STR and FAI to be at 40-50.
