O&S

I haven't used pyro up to this point, and I don't want to now. I am struggling getting them to separate. And when I do, I'm not aggressive enough. I gave them an hour tonight, and I never got O down half way.

Only advice I can give is to use the pillars to your advantage and keep both of them in your sight at all time. Dark wood grain ring is also helpful.

Columns have been hit or miss for me. Their attacks clipped through them a handful of times when I thought I was clear.

I'll get them. I know how the fight should go. They can kill me 100 times. I just have to beat them once.

I started SL1 today. I quit after trying for about an hr to jump down to lower undead burg for the black leather set. I don't know how you pros make that jump.

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to beat O&S. Im going to try though.

I'm at 20 failed attempts. I expect at least 20 more...

It's fricking hard, man. You'll get it eventually. Just play loose and don't give a frick; play to win.

Them and the 4 Kings are by far the toughest in the vanilla game. 4 Kings can be a nightmare.

What's your strategy been? I'm thinking a maxed out pyro glove, fire orbs, 100% block shield, and Solaire should be enough to get me past the Ornstein portion.

Stroll through the fog gate, dodge O's immediate teleport stab, hit him once, get smashed by S. Roll into corner, get stabbed. Die.

I don't want to use pyro or summon. I did level the glove in case I hit a wall, but I'm not considering it right now. I am trying to bait S into an attack while keeping up with O. Once S whiffs, I try to close the gap with O. I try to weave in and out of the pillars to slow S. I'm not just able to create enough separation between them right now. I have gotten O down to 25% health, but that's as close as I've gotten.

He's making it purposefully tougher on himself by doing it as a lvl 1.

While it's still tough at a regular level, say 20, it's not nearly as hard as that video demonstrates.

Bringing an npc into a sl1 fight is about the worst thing you can do. That and wearing armor; completely useless in 1.

I might going to try with no summons, but I don't think I could do no pyromancy.

yeah, summons ruin it for me. shouldnt be allowed

I'm gonna do a DS1 SL1 run prior to Ashes of Ariandel to reacquaint myself

a guy on r/onebros did a DSIII NG+7 SL1 No Death run. Unbelievable. Makes it look so easy.

I saw that -- eat that Lobos. He's also a pretty humble guy, and not a douche like some of the Souls e-celebs.

Pretty much renders challenge runs obsolete. Late-game bosses in 3 are very difficult at sl1.

How long did it take you to beat these guys on your first run?

ETA: Calling it quits.

SL1, with pyro? A handful.

Without? Maybe a dozen.

If you're not having fun then it's not worth it. 4 Kings are worse.

There's always the dark wood grain ring, it's op against them.

In five hours of gameplay, I've killed Ornstein twice. I simply cannot manage this fight. And I certainly can't get the AI into any form of pattern or predictable behavior. I try patience...get crushed. Try to be aggressive...get crushed.
