Is it worth getting the 150 bundle?

If I had the money I would. I only have 3 or 4 of the expansions and they are great. But from what I've heard there are some expansions that aren't that great.

Okay. This game looks addicting as all get out.

For some reason the game want launch now, it is stuck on steam box saying it is preparing. I haven't done anything since last time I played.
Any ideas?

Sign out of Steam and log back in, then try to launch.

That worked! Thanks. I need to decide when to go feudal.

Delay it as long as possible. You'll be far weaker when you 'convert' unless you have maxed out your holdings, and even then, your levies will still be smaller.

you are into games like Civilization but want a far deeper political experience, this is for you. Just an example for what you can do. I had a rival that tried to assassinate me. So instead of assassinating him, I seduced his wife and knocked her up. That's the kind of stuff you can do in this game
Well shite Im sold. Multiplayer?

And you can't spend the prestige to get that tribal army, either. Talk about a game changer if you can get your prestige up early ...
But, all the G-ddamn pagan Viking in the pre-1066 game. Seriously - eff those guys.
(I'm thinking about being a Viking next time.

My favorite start is Haraldr Fairhair in 867, as the Duke of Ostlandet. He has excellent stats, has the quick trait, has spawned troops at the beginning, and being pagan - which allows him to subjugate the rest of Norway without using up the once-in-a-lifetime subjugation. Do that, fabricate a claim on Sjaelland, subjugate Sweden, and BOOM - you can become Fylkir in his lifetime. I've even managed to form Scandinavia in his reign - he starts out as 17, and with some WoL boosts to health (hunting, plus the dog, and the chance to get strong), I've had him live to 88.

How long do multiplayer games last? Seems like it would take weeks.

I've never played one, honestly.
If enough of y'all want to play, we can organize something. I'd be more than happy to help those who still aren't 100% on the mechanics.

I pretty much only play the GOT mod so I'm sure I would get destroyed in a regular match.

Holy crap it's much more boring once you go feudal. No more concubines or raiding, prestige is worthless. I don't get the point.

Lots more infrastructure. I haven't played a lot as tribal, I'll admit and I haven't gone raiding yet. But, you have a ceiling of infrastructure, particularly defensive infrastructure that is tough to deal with if you stay tribal.
You can spend prestige on things, but you can't do the tribal army. That's what I miss, although how often do you have 500 prestige AND need to go on a big war?

I very rarely used prestige to get tribal army. You could use prestige to upgrade buildings. All the upgrades I see for feudal cost money, unless I'm missing something.
Do I need to change elective gavelkind? I like it, I just give sons I don't want to inherit bishoprics. Primogeniture scares me if I have retard for first son.

If it works for you - keep it. I had trouble keeping things together. Once I go feudal and make a kingdom, I go "elective monarchy" - you can't always control who is going to get the most votes, but it is the only way to keep things together for the long haul (IMHO).

I would go elective I just don't want somebody that's not in my direct bloodline lol.
I started in like 769 and it's only 9- somethingand had fun, but regret going feudal so soon. I may start over with another Irish guy or go Norse. The first part was most fun.
