I have premier with cox and I don't even get the speed I pay for and had techs out and nothing has been fixed....I pay for 50 mbps and hardly ever get more than 10 mbps....even before upgrade I never got the speed I paid for...

What is ur dl speed ? Is there another provider who give better internet speed ?

I'm with Eatel, but unless your in Ascension Parish, you can't get them.

Download Speed: 26077 kbps (3259.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 5565 kbps (695.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 7 ms

I have cox and get roughly 20mps DL and never have problems online. If you pay for 50mps you need to call cox and get that shot fixed if you're only getting 10mps ASAP

Uverse is blazing.

You have cox premier and get 10 down but pay for 50. I have prefered (25 down) and usually speedtest out to around 30 down.

If you're paying damn near $70 a month and getting speeds barely better than thier $35 a month speed, call and threaten to cancel it.

They'll get you in touch with thier customer retention department and they will all but get on their knees and swallow to keep you as a customer. Ive had them give me new customer rates for 6 months all over again because I wanted to tell em to go frick off when they lost CBS for a week or so.

Exactly. Most people are bottle necked by the speed of the content provider, not the Internet service provider. You can't do anything about that.

Is your gaming device hardwores to the modem or are you running wireless?

I'm subscribed to 30meg service and it fluctuates 25-35megs wireless with suddenlink.

This is basically as honest as the truth can get.
When I speedtest my internet connection, I'll get 25-30 down, but hulu will still tell me that I should reduce the quality of my videos because the 3.2mbps HD stream is apparently too much for my network...my wired network.

I would drop cox and go dtv if I could get an internet provider that gave me a fast connection for a good price....

Cox is just raping me blind...
