Well I tried the new commander which seems exclusively infantry based and did pretty well but I got stuck with a turd afk teammate in a 2v2.

Hold one minute, you can't just run out the base with one infantry force. A solid crew of an infantry, machine gun, artillery cannon and a mortar for support are minimum for venturing out

3 soviets out in the wide open
took my 6 forever to kill them.
meanwhile, while im havin to micromanage the frick out of this 6 on 3 battle, the Soviets just roll through everything else I've captured, tech up completely, continue pumping out units, mortars, and vehicles, and capture every other available point
all on "Easy"

I've gotten to the point where I can handle a one on one matchup with the easy AI, but it's tough online because no one else stays in their lane basically.
