They would only give the bonus damage and HP. You need all 4 to be the same to get the bonus talent.

Just once, not worth it at all.
Talent refresh, Shard Pack III, and dungeon refresh are the only ones that are really worth the price.

I stockpile the 300,000 gold so I can use it in a pinch if I need some extra gold. And mana, I buy that one also.

That's not a bad idea especially with the new update making raiding for mana so difficult. I've been stockpiling he ones I receive from the new area and they've come in handy a couple times already.

I can get to about 5 million in a pinch. Not counting my statues and stuff. I have 4 2million statues and 1 1 million

My statue count fluctuates as I need gold. I just invested in getting my towers all up to 10 so all I use it for as of now is invincibility to run the 37 shard dungeon.
I just got my PD to 8/9.
What should I use shards on now?
40,000 shards to get to 9/9 just seems like such a grind (25,000 for 8/9 took long enough). Is 9/9 worth the time it will take?
My starting 6 as of right now:
PD 8/9
Druid 6/9
TG 5/9
Immo 4/9
GR 5/9
AC 4/9
I'm leaning toward Immo up to 6, then TG up to 6, then maybe PD 9/9.

I would like to know this as well. My highest level is 200,000 right now. I have enough shards to get 2 more to 200,000 but I'm thinking of dumping them into either Cupid, Vlad or Atlanticore for the new game.

I was just poking on the screen of a guy with $900,000 coin just to see what was up and I fricking threw down my main dude so I went with it and wiped out his entire town. Blind luck. I even forgot to use my flag I was so panicked.

Rolled 21,000 gems and was disappointed in what I got until I realized Vlad is a boss. I needed a Grim reaper too and got him. Sadly, still no PD or Cupid.

Vlad is a beast at high levels. He takes out entire armies immediately.

I put the AC in the front of the formation (middle square of the side that faces the enemies) so that he takes aggro, PD in the center, Immo and TG on either side, and Molt in the rear. I really want Molt in front with AC, and PD in the rear, but I think that once you win a battle altar your team gets flip-flopped when you're defending. In other words, your team stays in the same formation, but the other team will attack from the back side. So that's why I have Molt in the back, so he can tank when someone tries to take an altar back, and I can't be bothered to keep editing my lineup.
As for the heroes I put in there, here's my thinking. AC is obvious, because he is just a beast when he gets attacked. PD also obvious because he gives the team a massive boost. I have Immo and TG in there for stuns, and Molt because he debuffs the whole enemy team. I do pretty well, and I can win most altar battles against teams of similar level. I can't beat those really hard monsters with 9 of them, though.
I have thought about taking Molt out and putting Druid in, because I lose to some teams that have Druid. I also thought about putting Champ in there for that killer stun, but I don't think his DPS is on par with TG and Immo. Some people also report success with Ninja for his high DPS.
It seems really hard to figure out the absolute best team because there are now so many combinations of heroes, talents, and now second talents, and a limited number of chances for testing. All in all, though, it seems to me that all you need is a good tank, and then figure out a strategy for the rest of your team. For mine, I use a mix of stuns, DPS, and debuff. It might be better to go all stun or all DPS though. I really think they need to let us use 6 heroes (or, frick, why not 9?).

The variables are too great. I find I do my best with
Palladin
Atlanticore
Thunder God
Cupid
Pumpkin Duke.
But it takes them a while to really speed up and sometimes I'm dead by that time or if I run into a team with stun I'll get smoked easily.

For the 9 group mobs, I have been successful most of the time with using Vlad, TG, and Druid in the front in that order. I have Immo behind TG and Grizz behind Vlad.
For some reason, most mobs will go after the druid, even if they are in the middle closest to TG. TG will get 1 or 2 mobs and Vlad will get 1 or 2 mobs on him, Druid gets the rest. What this does is produce mass amounts of TG stun because he has someone beating on him to increase his energy. Druid is putting out heals every attack as long as he isn't stunned, then when he dies, he ressurects and might get another heal off before dying to aoe. Vlad is also putting out sick DPS because his bats are up 66% of the time. Immo doesn't proc as much but his stun definitely helps.
Grizzley is the only one I'm not set on. He has high DPS and he has Slow down Crests which proc an extra attack 25% of the time, but I could probably use some more stun. If i had a PD or cupid he would definitely be better there.
I stopped using AC because these fights seem to be endurance fights. The mobs have tons of HP but their attack doesn't seem scaled as high, so AC only does a little damage back to them.
My .02. Btw Vlad is only 101 and Grizz is 99. Still leveling them up. Need more honor badges!!

This is a good point. I think everyone's HP is buffed 2X, but ATK is not.
I think I will try tanking with PD a few times like I do against boss. All those incoming hits should get PD proccing like crazy.

iOS got the new update last night. Incribing is even more confusing in practice. Why can't this be simple and straightforward like HBM? Are key drops random? I have over 30 bronze but need a silver to unlock the chest.

So I have fought a few times using PD as tank, and the results are pretty good so far. Battles finish a lot faster, and PD hasn't died yet. The hardest one I fought so far had 7 enemies, but mostly only elite. I got a double stack of PD proc and my guys went pretty nuts. I'm hoping that for the harder ones PD will still be able to proc twice, and that even if he dies his proc will live on and get my other guys through the fight.
