84 a day? Hell I barely beat the hbm reliability. And I don't ever do the boss. Im west coast and at work with no service. I don't mind throwing shards into the pool, but 84. I don't think I can cover that.

quote:Yeah, 300 shards per day pay for our boss fight. Aside from that, we occasionally upgrade the guild, which makes our max members higher (we don't really need this), and it makes the max rewards for torch battles higher (we do need this). The next guild level up costs 33,000 shards.
Yea, I could use a lesson on this. I know the shards donated by guild members go into a "pool" and that is used to pay our entry into the boss fight every night but I don't know anymore than that.

And what level HBM are you doing? You should do the highest level that you can beat about 90% of the time.

Currently we are only filling 28 of our 55 alotted guild member slots. Stupid question but why don't we try to find more members? It would help with shard donations and everyone wouldn't have to contribute as much.

1. We have a bit
2. Randoms don't tend to stick around long
3. Now with torch battles, it's kind of important to communicate on TD since game chat sucks so hard, and I think pretty much everyone on here who plays is in the guild already
BUT, feel free to recruit, we don't turn any applications down. More members would definitely ease the donation load.

I can do D about 90.
E about 50-50%
And 7 pm pacific monday -Friday im in a steel and concrete bunker. When I say I have zero service, I have to walk out on the tarmac to catch a single bar.

Then you should donate whenever you do the boss battle. Otherwise don't donate. This is more for people who fight but don't donate.

**** BOSS FIGHT TEAM SUGGESTION FOR THOSE WITHOUT PD ****
Some math follows, but please bear with me. It's very possible to fight the boss for a long time without PD and without perma-stun.
Boss 2 does about 6k damage with regular attacks, and about 10k damage with his proc. We need to get this damage down to a rate that Druid's heal can keep up with.
First we need a tank, and I'll go with Paladin. His proc reduces damage taken, and you'll want at least 4/9 to reduce it by 65%. This lasts 5 seconds, and he has a 6 second cooldown leaving a 1 second minimum window. I say minimum, because Paladin has a slow attack rate, and it takes him about 11 seconds to charge his energy, leaving a 6 second vulnerable window. However, since you won't be perma-stunning, the boss will be attacking and helping Paladin to charge his energy. Paladin will take only 35% of the boss's damage for 5 seconds, and 100% for 2-3 seconds. This averages out so that Paladin takes about 56% of the boss's damage. In a 7 second proc cycle, boss does 52k damage, so Paladin would take about 29k in 7 seconds. Paladin lvl 100 (capped) has 24k HP. He will die quickly without help.
You need to debuff the boss's attack, and your two options are Succubus and Shaman (Moltanica is better than both, but obviously hard to get). Succubus at 4/9 reduces boss's attack by 26% for 6 seconds, so counting that other second at 100%, she averages out to reducing boss's attack by about 22%. Shaman at 4/9 reduces boss's attack by 44% for 7 seconds, but like Paladin he has a slow attack rate, and his 11 second proc cycle means he averages reducing boss's damage by about 28%. If you put them both in there, they should reduce boss's damage by about 44%. This reduces the 29k damage Paladin would take per cycle down to about 16k. This is still much too high for a Druid lvl 120 (capped) with 5/9 to keep up. He will heal about 5800 of that 16k per proc cycle, so Paladin will end up losing about 10k HP every 7 seconds.
Throw Champ in there for some stun. He will stun for 3 out of every 7 seconds, which essentially reduces the boss's damage by about 42%. So instead of 16k per cycle, boss will only do about 9.3k. Throw in Druid's 5800 heal, and Paladin now only loses around 3500 HP per 7 second cycle. This team should survive a solid 45 seconds after the guardian angel spell wears off.
If you have a 6th hero, you could try putting Executioner with 4/9 in there. If you stagger his drop with Champ so their stuns don't overlap, you can get a solid 5 seconds of stun out of every 7 seconds. Now, instead of cutting boss's damage down to 9.3k per cycle, he can now only do about 4750 damage, which Druid should be able to keep up with.
So I think the following team can fight the boss for a full 3 minutes:
Paladin 4/9
Druid 5/9
Succubus 4/9
Shaman 4/9
Champ 1/9
Executioner 4/9
Now all we need is somebody to test it.

I have a sick Paladin with 3/5 stone skin. I wonder how he would work as a tank?

Just a though but should we start a new thread where we can put useful links in the 1st post and copy over all the useful guides that have been posted? With tduecen not being active it make it hard to mark the stuff that people should see, I always have to go hunting for the link to the spreadsheet.

I'm gonna donate 1,000,000 shards today
Posted on 10/8/14 at 1:13 pm to Korkstand
I'll apply with my smurf to help with shards and to not be an outcast anymore
Do you guys communicate outside of CC chat and here? We use Line and it works well to keep everyone on the same page.
