Chasing the car around in the garage did not help lol.

dude i didnt even know that was possible until my buddy played. i got in, ran him over, then he ripped the roof off and grabbed the steering wheel only to crash the car and kill himself haha.

just keep playing in short doses. your brain just has to acclimate. I was able to run and gun and spin real fast with no issues by the halfway point

It took me about 4 nights over a week to mostly get over motion sickness. I played about 30 minutes each time, then after that I was good to go. Always feel a little off but not sick like the first few attempts.

I've only played RE7 for a little while (Didn't get past the Mia fight) but I'm not liking the controls. It's cool how you can look in a direction and your view changes and you now move in that direction. The problem is if I'm making a right or left turn I have to keep looking that direction which is uncomfortable or use the right joystick which jumps 30 degrees at a time which I find annoying. I'm going to check out Rush of Blood and see how I like that but for those that tried it how long did it take to get used to the controls in RE7? I feel like I wouldn't be able to play as well with the way the controls operate.

You can make it so rotation is smooth as opposed to jumping 30 degrees at a time.

Ditch the rotation. I found that more disorienting than the motion sickness with smooth controls.

I just played again after not touching VR for a few months and I was surprised I didn't have any motion sickness issues.

I figured I would need to get used to it again, but I didn't have too.

Turn that off in options. Make it smooth.

Changing the right stick to smooth made the experience so much better. Also holy frick VR makes RE7 scary. I've played through 3 times and shite I knew would happen still made me jump. Even the body at the beginning made me throw my head back to get away from it. Did anyone else only see Ethan's arms to about the elbow? Anytime you should see his body I didn't only arms floating in the air. Also when using the bolt cutters all I saw was the bolt cutter being used and no hands or arms. It's not a huge deal just something that I saw each time I played. I really like the VR experience. I'll likely wait for updated hardware but it's a really good first go at a new way to game. I have everything packed up for the next person on the list.

I'll shoot you in the info in an email. Glad you had a good time with it. Yes, the arms and tools are supposed to float in VR

Yeah. Not sure why they aren't connected in VR.

Also some of the events fade to black and jumping down or falling fades to black for a second. Has to do with keeping people from getting sick but I wish they would stop that.

Marguerite in the old house when you are walking up the stairs after using the key where she throws you into the pit made me almost shite myself.

DOOM VR was announced, kinda bummed out I sold my unit for the switch (not because of thw switch, I still think it was the best plan, I love the switch)
