The crawling through ducts and the slipping through small opening bits are overused.
As a rule, those are there to cover up area transition loading screens. Makes me wonder if they were having memory allocation issues if they felt compelled to use that trick frequently.

Developer makes beloved game. Leaves well-funded, established company to start new studio. Proceeds to remake virtually same game with smaller team and less resources. Game comes out underwhelming.
Seen this before.

This game really blows.
No maps, yet. Nothing to aid in where you should be going.
The melee is turrible.
I had such high hopes.

Combat is pretty fricking awful.
You are stuck fighting one mob at a time and the camera locks on them, so if they throw like 3-4 at you (which they often do) then you're fricked because you can't see anything but the mob you're engaged with and you're guaranteed to get ganked in the back.

Quit preordering games for fricks sake. Giving full price to these lazy developers is killing the industry.

Finally was able to finish the game last night (PS5). To be honest, I really, really enjoyed it. By no stretch is it a perfect game, and there were a couple of spots I did get briefly get stuck (early game combat against multiple enemies can be pretty frustrating), but once you start getting more powerful weapons you are no longer reliant on melee combat.
The quality of the acting and the story were good, ended on a bit of a cliffhanger (which I am assuming will be addressed in the coming story DLC).
Overall, glad to have bought the game.
For those who may have just seen negative reviews or only tried out the first hour or so of the game, all I can say is, “give it a chance.”

I am stuck on the platform boss. It keeps restarting with his appearance. I am almost out of life and my sidearm only has a few rounds. I have died about 10 times. There is no time to swap sidearms. I ended up going back to an earlier save and will try the whole section again. But it's super frustrating..
