Another question.....After I put the games on my RP3, can I take them off the thumb drive and add more with that same thumb drive? Reason I ask is because I started doing it with a 1 GB thumb drive and I will eventually fill that thing up.
ETA: I guess what I'm asking is, It won't take games off if it isn't on the thumb drive anymore right?

I am not sure, and would like to know for sure, but I would imagine you could remove the other games and add more then plug back in
My understanding was that the pi is just copying the USB docs over... Not deleting anything

Not sure I get what you're asking. You should be transferring the ROMs from your USB drive to the MicroSD card in the Pi. Once you transfer them over to the Pi you can delete them of the USB stick and add more games.

Yeah, that's what I was asking. Thanks

Glad to help.
Honestly though it's much easier if you just connect your Pi to your wifi network and use samba (file shares).
Then it's just opening explorer on your main computer, typing in \\retropie, then drag and drop in to the appropriate ROM folders.

Well I tried that, but it wouldn't connect to my wifi.

What controllers are yall using?
I've used PS4, PS3 controllers. Logitech F310. Generic Innext SNES style controllers. Ordered an ELECOM SNES one from Amazon that I'm looking to try.
I built a PiCart for a friend using a Pi Zero W.
This isn't the pic of my inside (forgot to take one), but it very close to this, except I used a USB hub that had a microUSB OTG connector, so I had one less adapter.

What is the issue?
Wifi is always easy on every Pi I have used. Try just using 2.4GHz and make sure both bands have seperate SSIDs.

I’m not sure. I would put in my password and it’s like it wouldn’t find it. I tried pinging it to get the IP address and it just kept trying and trying. So I just ended it and used the usb drive, which is very easy.

Do y’all know of any Rom that works for Pong?

quote:I don't but if you want something like it that's still a ton of fun, look at Windjammers for NeoGeo. It's like a marriage of Pong and Street Fighter 2.
