Hey Die or TTown, when you shut the system down, do you have to unplug and plug it back to turn it back on???

Alright I'm up and running.

This is awesome.

Stupid question. I have no sound. What's my issue? Or how do I hook up?

I'm thinking it may be monitor issue. Will try TV later.

Did you go wired controllers?

Yeah. I tried to connect the RP3 to my wifi but couldn't get it to work, so I had all wired controllers and had to add games from a usb thumb drive.

Sorry, just seeing this - I dont lurk the gaming board as much as I used to. Yes, that is the only way to turn it back on. You can add an on/off switch to it if you wanted to. I added one to mine about a year ago and found it to only work about half the time, so I took it off so that i could get the case that I wanted. There may be more reliable on/off switches out there now, but I never really looked again. Now I just leave my pi running (it doesnt use much power).

You can shut it off from one of the menus (I think if you press "Start" it will bring up the appropriate dialogue box) but you have to unplug and plug it back in to get it to boot back up.

A cheap / easy solution could be to plug it into a surge protector with a switch and just turn it off / on from that but, like TTown, I typically just leave it on all the time now.

Question about the MAME Roms. When I unzip them, they have a bunch of files in there.....do I copy all of them into the mame folder?

Don't unzip them. Just drop the whole .zip file in to your mame folder.
