What def do ya'll use against them? He runs option/option pass with Pat White. It eats my def up.

What I would do is run a 4-3 over or under depending on his strong side. The next thing you need to do is spread you d-line then make them take an outside rush. Then you need to also spread your linebackers out, to nagate the pitch to devine. This should work and still give you enough of a pass rush to get to the QB on passing downs.

It all depends on what the opponent is doing in the game. Ive played about 10 people online that picked WVU and Im 10-0 against them. Their D is horrible, so you should be able to score on them every time you have the ball. All you need is one stop. I usually blow them out though. Put all 4 of your defensive linemen as spies OR if he is in shotgun with a back on his left, put the two left DLinemen hot routed to the back and the other two d linemen QB spies. Make sure to control one of the spies so you can move him in.

Use the multiple-D Nickel 1-5-5. It will destroy the option.

4 spies? So you're not rushing anyone?
WOW, if you did that to anyone who is at least decent passing the ball, White would go for about 300-400 yards passing on you.

I forgot the name of the play, but its 3 QB spies.
Sub a few players in, and put speed on the field.
Its the only play I call when I play Florida, WV, etc..

Run Quarters defense and push the line together and bring out the linebackers, then bring up all the Defensive backs. If not, run mutiple Def. and run the 1-5-5. Spread out all the linebacks and push bring in all the corners.

I just beatthem twice today. Most guys who use that team strictly use them relying on pat white's option abilities. contain, use a spy and put pressure on him while not giving up too much in coverage should he scramble and get a pass off. tough to do as usually you can have the receivers covered like a blanket but when the QB starts scrambling coverages breakdown..that is why you have to apply pressure.

i run cb blitz and DE contain it works usually just alternate
