BFBC2: Expansion

EA announced that the expansion pack based in Vietnam will be released December 18th.
For $15, I think this will be a bargin. I know I got my $15 worth and more out of the Battlefield 1943 release.
This should provide a great break as I'm sure I'll start getting burnt out on BO by this time.

One thing I'm unclear about, is whether it is a separate game from BC2. Say if you join a conquest game on nelson bay, will you stay on the old maps, or will it jump to the Vietnam maps and have different weapons and vehicles?

I saw they have it on steam for preorder. The ad said you get to start playing it the 18th instead of the 21st. I'm not sure on xbox or ps3. Just saw that ad last night.

On PS3 you can see it in the BFBC2 store, you just can't order it yet.

I like the wide open maps of battlefield and the vehicles, but I think COD just seems more fluid. If I had to rank them, I'd put battlefield just above COD, but I love them both.
Also there seems to be less annoying people on battlefield. First thing I do in a COD game now is mute everyone. Don't even give them a chance to get annoying anymore.

The one thing I don't like about Battlefield is that it doesn't suit my style. I don't really care for vehicles. I like guns. I like taking it slow with an assault rifle. In BF, it seems that you're either a sniper or a tank driver. And I always seem to be a sitting duck in a tank.

I'm the same way sometimes, that's why I'm glad theres not vehicles on every map. Arica Harbor conquest mode is good for that because its pretty compact, and no tanks or choppers on it. I love a good spawn rape with a tank or bradley though.

This update came several months too late for me. BC2 is no longer a part of the library. I got really burned out on that title, so I doubt I'd be coerced into buying a 15 dollar expansion.

on the new map pack video it said the expansion pack comes out on the 21st.

thats what i read too. the 18th is a saturday and kind of a weird day to release video game stuff. the 21st is a tuesday.
