Any recommendations for a BF3 noob playing on Xbox 360? Never played a BF game before, only COD.

I could give a thousand pointers, but all you really need to do is play. Try everything. Except sniping, that's useless.

Don't sprint around, guns blazing. Use cover. Short burst vs. full auto actually matters. Join a squad every match. Don't use helicopters and planes unless you have practiced on a unranked server or have a thick skin.

Using cover and moving with a squad are great tips. As far as planes and choppers, just gotta get in and go man. No other way to learn.

They do not. I think there is a co-op mission with an attack chopper, but could be wrong.

Ah didn't know they do not have unranked servers for Xbox. I'd look for a server with just a few people on to practice in that case.

There is a co-op mission, but it only has the heli. Not the jets. And I've tried it and suck horribly at flying that damn thing.
I just found out you could search specifically for game types, modes (normal, hardcore and infantry) by clicking down on the right thumb stick but didn't notice if there was an option to search for unranked servers. Guess not.
I tried a hardcore yesterday. Wasn't that bad but has anyone played infantry mode? What exactly is that?
