2 was a great game. 3 was great until you saw the ending and learned your resource work didn't matter much, but up until then it was a great play.
Didn't they do some extra ending that tied everything together?

Didn't bother to play it, I doubt it reconciled the fact that "your choices affect the outcome" and I didn't want to watch more cinematics to try to save the fail that was the ending.

quote:Kinda. I did it for kicks and giggles. It's a 2 gig download to start, then you have to do the ENTIRE final mission starting from the attack on the Cerberus base all over again. But yeah, it didn't change much. It just gave some closure on what happened after your choice. It didn't end with that lame cutscene. It was a way better ending as far as closure and seeing what your choices effected at the end, but it doesn't change the fact that the game funneled all of your choices into two endings.

ETA: Edited out spoilers.

So someone like me who never played it or finished it wouldn't really consider it a bad ending then?

I give it an 8. Easy.
You can tell a lot of love went into it. It's bladerunner in an rpg game. Making a mistake in a firefight ends in death 90% of the time and the story is half corporate espionage, half police state.
If you're into that sorta thing.

dark souls (i raged on it and haven't played it in a month or so)
skyrim (beat the main story, but one of the thieves guild mission's were glitched out...lots of side quests undone.)
