Or you can just sell them for money, but I have had pretty good RNG luck with the open crates in PUBG.
But point still stands, plenty of options out there that are not micro transaction based.
I have no issue with cosmetics in any way, if you want to pay for them to change the look of your character or gun then more power to you.

Fortnite’s battle pass also has a pretty good amount of content and stuff too. Some challenges are copy/paste or otherwise annoying, but still they help keep the game fresh. It’s actually a good deal for $10 even before you look at the skins.
